[ SITE INFO]

This site contains results for Stock Car racing at the Anderson Speedway. I had hoped that the page would updated by Tuesday for the past Saturday's results. Unfortunately, workload at my daytime job has not allowed it. However, Rick, R.J. and Skip (the new owners) have discussed the page, and I am changing the style a bit, to see what they (and you) think.

Saturdays card: Hoosier Park Late Models, Figure-8's and Street Stocks, WEDNESDAY nights feature the ICAR/Jasper Modifieds, NASCARTS and Legends Cars, in addition to unique specials. The track will insure early completion of these mid-week events.

[Indianapolis Nexrad Radar:]

With all of the problems so far in 1997 with the "R" word, you may wish to checkout Intellicast's local Indianapolis radar. The Anderson Speedway is located just North and East of Indianapolis. The Weather Channel homepage is very well prepared and can be customized. Let's hope for sunny days and pleasant nights, weatherwise.

This is an area where we are hoping to have hotlinks to sanctioning bodies, racing related newspapaer, magazine and TV sites and driver sites. As you can see below, an Anderson driver already has a homepage.

A local hero:

Visit Dennis Wallen's Homepage. Dennis is a popular Street Stock driver.

The driver of the "Red Racer" gave us all some insight to what it is like racing week-to-week at Anderson.

I think our mechanical problems are behind us. It's got a new engine and rear-end... there's not much left that can break. The power steering had started to fade over the last couple of races so we replaced the pump last night. It appears to have solved the problem. We're also experimenting with the gear ratio this Saturday to try to get more torque off the turn. As for the Salem car, it's motor was the one that a blew the second week of racing as Anderson. I guess it's a good thing, otherwise it would have blown early in the Salem race. The motor I'm running now will most likely end up in the Salem car. It's built solid and should perform well in an endurance race. I'll have a better motor for the Anderson car in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the insight, Dennis.
