GP2 *was* the best F1 simulator avaiable for PC. There are loads of Internet competitions based on GP2, from hotlap charts to racing leagues.

GP2 is APR's main simulator! We are or were competing in several leagues:

The IRS (International Racing Site, by Onno Ceelen) HOT LAP COMPETITION (discontinued in 1998)

The LFRs (Little Formula 1 Racing Series, by Steve Wilson) CHAMPIONSHIP
The GP2WRL (GP2 World Racing League, by James Wenke) CHAMPIONSHIP (league died in 1997)
The GP2IC97 (GP2 Internet Championship, by Michael Manske) CHAMPIONSHIP (APR not racing here, since June 97)
The HOF 2.5 (Hall of Fame 2.5, by Jo Helsen) HOT LAP COMPETITION

POWER F1

POWER F1 is another F1 simulator for PC, much less acurate than GP2 and more of an arcade game.

Finally a game thas goes FAR beyound GP2! You will need a monster PC to run it, but it's worth the effort!

The retail version of the game has some bugs, such as no sound in replays, but UBI SOFT has done a great job in their patches and the current 1.09 version is fast, stable and so enjoyable, that once you have played it, you will not return to good old Microprose's alternative.

Future internet racing competitions will use this simulator. Just wait a little longer, so everyone has the hardware to play it, and you will see!
