What's Alain Prost Racing?
Introduction Alain Prost Racing (APR) is the name for a group of persons who love computer racing simulations. When first started (April, 1997), APR was Artur Marques and Manuel Sancho, both from Portugal.

Now APR has almost 10 drivers, including the 1st EVER ALL FEMALE Internet GP2 Racing Team - Alain Prost Racing 2. Read about the girls!

Artur Marques has a vital role in APR. He his racing in computer sims for over 10 years now, always using "Alain Prost" as his alias or running with his true name, but for a virtual "Alain Prost" team. Much more about Artur Marques can be found at the "Who Are We?" link.

Manuel Sancho is a mysterious man. He prefers to remain incognito, God knows why. To be honest, some of you, with some investigation, will probably crack "the truth about" Manuel Sancho, who has no Internet homepage of his own... or has he? Well, it can be said that the TRUE identity of Manuel Sancho would shock so many people, that we at Alain Prost Racing, have accepted his option of revealing nothing more than an e-mail adress where he can be reached. A little more about Manuel Sancho can be found at the "Who Are We?" link.

Why the Name Alain Prost Racing has the name it has, because of the WORLD's ALL TIME GREATEST DRIVER, the 4 times F1 world champion, Alain Prost.

We respect Alain Prost to the extreme, but we are no fanatics and mean no disrespect to anyone! If you have other opinion, that's fine, you are intitled to it. Alain Prost himself never knew of this APR project... did he? More about Alain Prost can be found at the "Who is Alain Prost?" link.

Simulators Alain Prost Racing is now 1 year old. We are now interested in all computer racing simulations, such as:

  • UBISOFT's F1 Racing Simulation (F1RS), for Formula 1
  • EIDO's POWER F1 (PF1), for Formula 1
  • Papyrus' Indycar Racing 2 (Indycar2), for CART
  • Papyrus' Nascar Racing 2 (Nascar2) , for Nascar racing

Why these championships were chosen and more about them, can be found at the "Formula 1" link.

Where Testing Alain Prost Racing also competes in CART, Nascar and "other" simulators. However we have not YET subscribed any Internet league on those "other" subjects.

HOWEVER, Artur Marques is really nuts for computer simulations and has done some impressive laps (and crashes!) in Indycar2, Nascar2 and MTM. More about those laps and crashes, the setups and some background information, can be found at the "CART", "Nascar", Need for Speed and "Monster Truck" links.

Jobs Alain Prost Racing NEEDS YOU!

If you identify yourself with the APR project and love computer racing simulations, APPLY FOR A JOB! You will earn absolutely no money, spend a lot of time doing repetitive laps and risk your keyboard, joystick or wheel to death! You need not to love Alain Prost, the driver, but that should be a major advantage!
