Alain Prost, aged 2!

Alain Prost is the world's all times greatest F1 driver!

Well, to be honest, Prost is much more than a F1 driver... he really is a special person, highly gifted in a number of things. He was to be a professional football player, but - lucky us! - he got hurted in a training session. He won a race the very first time he tried it, which means no one was faster than he was, injured AND on a 2nd hand kart!

Alain Prost is now the leading man of "ALAIN PROST GRAND PRIX" (APGP), a new team in FIA's F1 racing championship! Prost manages a huge number of subjects, including the drivers' contracts. Olivier Panis and Shinji Nakano are the current APGP's drivers.

Alain Prost is best known for his impressive statistics in F1. He has all the important records.

More important than the records, its the way they were achieved. Alain Prost always stood for honesty, perfection and clean and safe driving. He his known as the "professeur", for the many and memorable lessons he gave while competing. Prost "teached" all generations of drivers, since 1980. He won championships from Nelson Piquet, Niki Lauda, Nigel Mansell, Ayrton Senna, Dammon Hill and Michael Schumacher!

Alain Prost won 4 F1 World Champion titles, but could have won - at the very least - other 2. He once lost for Lauda for 0.5 points (when he had more victories), and for Senna, having MORE points, but not being considerable, because of stupid champioship rules that only allowed the driver's 11 best results to be computed.

Alain Prost final race was the Australian F1 GP, 1993. It was such a dramatic day! I don't know about other Prost fans, but it was a very strange feeling, knowing that I was watching Alain for the last time. I cryed.

Alain Prost always drove races the way the best directors do their movies. One of the highest moments on his career was the win at Mexico, driving the Ferrari #1. He started from 13th place on the grid! He drove faster in the race than in the qualifying session and he overtook every competitive driver, ie, he reached 1st place with almost everyone still on track! It was so great! I was delirious!

Alain Prost's years at Renault were very hard. I remember him blowing up may engines, when leading with a comfortable advantage. There was a point, when Prost was known as the "ethernal 2nd place", because he had lost so many championships in the last moments!

Alain Prost wrote an open letter to all his fans, after the 1993 Australian GP, and he made a mistake! He wrote about "the end of his story". Well, of course Alain Prost's story will never end! Alain now has his own team, "ALAIN PROST GRAND PRIX", and that gives us a true motivation to get back to F1!

Alain Prost won 51 races (record), drove 41 fastest laps (record), scored a total of 798.5 points (record), was the leader of 15 races in a single season (record), did 33 pole positions, finished 2nd place 35 times, finished 3rd place 20 times, finished 4th place 10 times, finished 5th place 5 times and finished 6th place 7times... In other words, Alain Prost scored points in 128 races (record)!

I would have been a Prost fan, even if Alain had scored 0 points in his career! As I said, its not the impressive numbers that count - it's the way they were achieved! Alain brought glory to Maclaren, Renault, Williams and Ferrari, in such a style, that I feel sorry for those who enjoy F1 and never watched a race of him.
