MORE ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Leslie. This webiste is basically a culmination of all my ideas as far as automobiles are concerned. I know, I know, the info on my website is downright out of date. I just haven't found the time to update my websites (I have others) lately. And with the auto world, it's pretty hard to do so. I'm an engineering student in Louisiana and if you all haven't noticed, I'm a real Toyota freak.

MY CARS

I have two Toyotas in my house now which are the latest in a line of 6 Toyotas owned by my family. Toyotas are great cars. Here in Malaysia they prove their superiority because they're durable, both in and out. My cars are generally not so new but hey, Toyotas last a long time.

This is a picture of my Toyota Corolla. Okay, it's not. But it's the same model as mine. I couldn't get a scanner to scan a photo of mine but when I do I'll replace this picture with it ASAP. The Corolla is the world's most popular and best selling car after the VW tortoise. Hmmmm....tortoise? This is the 7th generation of the Corolla and to me it's the best, looks-wise. My car is powered by Toyota's 2E engine which is just nice for Malaysian roads and highways. It's a pity though that it wasn't fitted with a more powerful and refined powerplant like the 4A-FE or 7A-FE lean burn engine. My dream is to dump Toyota's powerful 4A-GE engine under the hood which will boost current horespower by more than 120%. That's a whopping 165 horsepower coming from a 4 cylinder 1.6litre engine!!!! That'll enable me to outrace everything else in this sub-compact class, with the exception of the Honda Civic SiR which makes 170hp and the Lancer MIVEC which pumps out 175hp. Anyone has a second hand 4A-GE?

This is my other car - a Toyota Hilux SSR. Four wheelers are a must here in my state because of the terrible road conditions outside the city. My truck as you can see is a double cab version of the Surf SSR, fully imported from Japan and is powered by Toyota's 3L engine. The 3L engine churns up reasonable low-end torque from its 2.8litre engine capacity and genarally is an extremely reliable engine. Because of it's reliability, UMW Toyota of Malaysia even chose this engine to power it's Hiluxes and Prados. This is especially important in the rural areas of Borneo where vehicles have to make their own roads, so to speak. (Did I mention that Sabah, North Borneo has excellent beach resorts?) My dream would be to power my truck with Toyota's 1KZ-TE engine, a 3.0litre turbo diesel which powers the Prado TZ and the Surf SSR-G.
