Making it fit


Not to many modifications are needed to make the rotary engine fit if you use the RX-4 transmission. Its a 5 speed but its much smaller than the turboII 5-speed. If you use the turboII tranny then you'd have to notch the transmission tunnel to make the slave cylinder fit. I used the RX-4 tranny since I got it for so cheap. I could have eaisly used the turboII because the guy I bought the car from cut out some of the firewall and tranny tunnel to make a V8 fit. You have to turn the oil pan backwards so it clears the crossmember. The motor mount is a simple 1/4" steel plate that bolts to the front of the motor and to the top of the frame rails.
