Track times for my car.

Bone Stock Time Slip

This is the time slip of my best time on May 12, 1995. I'm the car on the right with the terrible reaction time. I was a bit disappointed with the time, 16.181s @ 85.98mph. However, it was also my very first time racing at the drag strip. I tried shifting my car manually, but I later realized that I was holding it in gear too long. Also, I had quite a bit of wheel spin off of the line. Overall, not too bad for a stock car and a first time racer.

Timeslip with pulleys

This is my best time on May 18, 1996. I'm the one on the left, again with a terrible reaction time. I know it's on an 1/8 mile time slip, but Gateway International Raceway was under construction and that's all they were running. I found an article in Car Craft that converted 1/8 mile times to 1/4 mile times. The 9.926s @ 69.75mph roughly converts to 15.3s. That's almost 1 second faster than my previous best and the only modifications on the car were: an Auto Specialties over-drive pulley for the super charger; and Auto Specialties under-drive pulleys for the accessories. However, I had the additional weight (approx. 100lbs) of my stereo equipment, which equates to about one tenth of a second.

Timeslip with Flowmaster and no cats

This time slip from May 9, 1997. The only mod that I added was a Flowmaster Cat Back exhaust system without cats. Notice the near perfect reaction time, unfortunately I red-lighted by .003 seconds. What an improvement exhasut makes--14.59 s @ 94.34 mph. So I've knocked 1.5 seconds off my factory time for about $800. I know the time won't come off that cheaply in the future.

Timeslip with ET STreets

This time slip is from January 22, 2000. I've made several mods since my last timeslip. One of which was headers, which I think actually hurt my times because I was only able to run 14.7's. But with the addition of Mickey Thompson ET Streets, my new best is 14.448 s @ 93.36 mph. Unfortunately, I think I'm running out of fuel at the top end since my mph actually dropped. So I have to install my fuel pressure regulator.

Timeslip with ET STreets

This time slip from May , 2001. I didn't add any mods since my previous best. I just played around with tire pressure on the Mickey Thompson ET Streets. The weather was more favorable than the last best. This yielded 14.07s @ 94 mph.

Timeslip with ET STreets

This is my most recent time slip from June 27, 2001. The only mod added since my 14.071 run was 3.73 gears. I also added 13" front brake, which probably slowed me down slightly due to the increase in rotating mass. Oh yeah, ice is no longer allowed in the staging area, so this was made without using ice to cool the I/C and tubes.

Timeslip with all bolt-ons except TB and MP Inlet Plenum

This time slip from Oct, 2001. I didn't add any mods since my previous best. The weather was ideal--the temperature was in the mid-50's and humidity was low. I just played around with tire pressure on the Mickey Thompson ET Streets and seemed to come up with the right combo. Each of my 3 runs were personal bests. Unfortuately, I blew the head gaskets on the final run. Now I have an excuse to install some of my other parts. This yielded 13.54 s @ 101 mph. Not bad for only bolt-on's
