2/24/2009: New photo on the Sundries page, of a unit coal train coming down the mountain in 1991.

2/20/2009: Several additions lately. New photos on the D&RGW Rolling Stock page, the BN tribute page, restructuring and photos at the SP in the Rockies site.

12/26/2008: several additions to the Amtrak pages: Varnish and Amtrak Locomotives. The latter includes a new index table feature.

12/12/2008: New Trip Report feature, with several pages of photos and text: December 2008. Includes San Luis Central images and a bunch of wintertime action on the Moffat line.

8/13/2008: Added two new photos to the Tunnel Motors page.

5/30/2008: Large new addition: an entire web for the San Luis and Rio Grande Railroad. All my existing SLRG material is consolidated here, plus a bunch of new things-- including a photo essay of the first day of Dome Service over La Veta Pass. Behind steam, no less!

3/19/2008: Added photo to the Sundries page, and increased the font size to make it more readable.

3/19/2008: Added several photos to the Rolling Stock page.

1/14/2008: Added a photo to the Locals page, and upgraded a couple at the SP Six-axle page.

1/11/2008: Updated both photos of SD40T-2 No. 5371, on the Tunnel Motors page. Discovered that one photo had never been uploaded in the first place!
Also enhanced several photos on the Pilgrimmage to Helper page. Formerly these were very dark, but now they're much more viewable.

8/28/2007: Several new photos on the Durango & Silverton- Equipment page.

8/17/2007: Three new photos on the Cabooses and Maintenance-of-Way page. One is of Spreader O44, and two are of caboose 01448. Also several new photos over on the UP in the Rockies site.

8/15/2007: New railfan trip report at Rail Encounters: Grand County Rails. Lots of photos from along the Moffat, August 2007.

2/16/2007: Spectacular photos: Classic Rio Grande on the Durango & Silverton. The Rocky Mountain Railroad Club commissioned a special charter of all Rio Grande-painted equipment, and I was the only non- D&S photographer on the ground to record the action.

12/08/2006: Brand-new site: Union Pacific in the Rockies. Contemporary UP, south of the Overland Route.

12/08/2006: Complete revamp of La Plata Division model railroad page. Completely new layout, and many new photos.

9/28/2006: Complete revamp of Tunnel Motors on the Joint Line at the Rail Encounters site. All images re-scanned directly from the negatives, and photoshopped to compensate for the up-sun exposures...

9/25/06: Created a new page at Rail Encounters: Locals on the former Rio Grande. It's all about contemporary local trains. Also added a few new images here and there.

9/18/06: A bunch of updates over at the Ski Train site. Many photos have been upgraded. The Ski Train Cars page has been completely reformatted, with thumbnails and a bunch of new or re-scanned photos. Also a couple of new images at the Ski Train Hunting page.

8/24/06: Cleaned up the links page. I discovered it had been suffering from a serious lack of TLC.

8/18/06: Completely revamped the Santa Fe Tribute page. Many new images and broader scope. (This had formerly been limited to AT&SF in New Mexico.)

8/11/06: New page: Burlington Northern Railroad Tribute. This is also linked from the Rail Encounters site. Also updated some of the Scenery shots.

Also discovered and fixed a real mess of broken links and outdated photos on the Rio Grande Now page.

8/08/06: Updated the Bio with a new photo and some minor other changes. Also added more pix to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge site-- Equipment of the D&SNG page.

8/04/2006: New page of photos on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge site-- Equipment of the D&SNG. Also added a new set of photos on the Ferroequinological Photos page-- I finally manage to photograph a train on the High Line, from the ground! Check these out.

11/09/05: Major upgrade on the Rio Grande Zephyr Tribute pages. Thumbnails, new images, vastly-improved scans of many others.

11/09/05: Added a small section to the Colorado Coal Trains page-- images from August 2005 on the North Fork branch.

10/14/2005: Massive upgrade to the main DRGW section. Complete redesign of pages, better cross-referencing, and many new or upgraded images, which are now hotlinked with thumbnail images.

9/27/2005: Added new section: The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Several new collections of D&S photos, and moved existing D&S pages here.

3/03/2005: Many photos have been re-scanned directly from the negatives, particulary in the Coal Creek '84 and '86 pages on Rail Encounters, and on the main Rio Grande page.

8/24/2005: Added several new images from Winter Park to the Colorado Coal Trains page.

1/05/2005: Created a page at Rail Encounters of Vintage Rio Grande photos -- images taken mostly by family members in the 1960s.

12/23/04: Posted a new page of photos at Rail Encounters from Early Railfan outings -- stuff that dates from 1982-1983.

12/16/04: Created a site for up-close, detailed looks at Rio Grande locomotives.

10/27/04: Cross-linked several images to the Main D&RGW Page-- a couple of GP40s and tunnel motors. Nos. 3128, 3129, and 5390 had not previously been listed.

10/07/04: Made several updates on the Rail Encounters pages-- particularly, brand-new hi-quality scans of the images on theRio Grande Power on the West Local page. This includes several new images.

5/12/04: Added a new section to the Rail Encounters page-- Pilgrimage to Helper, a photo essay of the operations in and around Helper, Utah-- featuring the last remaining Rio Grande Tunnel Motors.

3/03/04: Added a new section to the Rail Encounters page-- San Luis Valley in Transition, a photo essay of the last days of UP operations and the beginning of the San Luis & Rio Grande. Lots of scenic photos here, plus Rio Grande geeps.

1/23/04: Added a new section to the Rail Encounters page-- Wreck at Sheep Creek, a series of photos taken of a wreck on Soldier Summit in 1992.
