My cycle-links are at the bottom of this page !
I've been interested in motorbikes since I was about 10. That was the first time I can remember when
my uncle came to visit us on his BMW R 75/7.
Of course we insisted that he'd take us for a ride. And that was when I started to fancy that old
(it wasn't then but it sure is now :-) flat engine with its brass colored paintwork.
I decided that I had to have this motorbike. And guess what - I got it !
Summer 1993 I asked my uncle if he'd lend it to me for a trip to Paris (it had been in his garage
for about 4 years then) and he said I could have it if I took care of it. And if one day I got rid of the
old machine I'd have to give it back.
So, I put a new battery in, filled up oil and gas and went to Paris. No valves checking or ignition -
the rear-tire had even lost its profile (0.5mm left). But the BMW did fine.
Well, I'm not fed up yet and I don't think my uncle will see the bike for a while ;-)
