Fly with me to Manhattan |
|
I was lucky enough to visit the island of Manhattan for Spring Break of 2003. So all of these pictures are taken mid-march of that year. The background picture, for those of you who are curious is of a New York sunset, taken around 18 floors up (mid-town Manhattan I think).
Show me the world! This is a shot just outside of the subway stairs in Columbus Circle. Gorgeous!!
The whole picture. Of course no trip to New York would be complete without a stop at the Empire State Building.
Oops! Hand me the mortar! Another required stop for anyone with even the smallest class is the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This is a more exotic shot of the exterior. =)
Give me a light! Of course the one day it was rainy was the one day I made it to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Some might think it unfortunate, I think it gives mystery.
Skate with grace. Rockefeller Center at night, beautiful!
Pictures, please. This is the view out the west side of the Hotel I stayed in. Can you guess that across the river is New Jersey?
Wrath of fury. I find it absolutely amazing that such a beautiful building can be so highly damaged in only a matter of seconds. I believe that the only explanation I need to give is that this building is adjacent to the world trade center complex.
Dose of reality. Part of the memorial at the time in the world trade center complex.
