'72 Sunbeam Imp Sport

I had been considering trying a different classic, after many happy hours smoking around in a Morris Marina a few years ago. I didn't want a Marina, but I did want something a bit different.

It was then that I discovered this car in a garage in my back lane, at the end of the Summer '02. To be honest, I didn't really know what it was, as I could only see the front corner. I wrote it off as a Reliant Kitten and walked off!

A few weeks later the garage collapsed in high winds and I was finally able to identify it for what it was.

I located the owner, struck a deal and then, with two equally mad assistants, we risked life and limb to get the car out of the garage. The car was in fantastic shape, and had escaped relatively unscathed.

The car is blessed with a few period accessories such as a roof rack, Moto-Lite steering wheel and Super cool retro bucket seat covers!

There was little wrong with the car, and the MOT was no great trauma. The result is to be seen below, so please judge for yourself.
