Yeah, I know; it sucks. So if you want to email
me and tell me that my page sucks, go ahead; but don't be surprised
if my reply to you includes the words "No shit", or perhaps "Dumbass",
or perhaps even the two phrases in conjunction- i.e., "No shit, dumbass."
On the other hand, constructive criticism is welcomed; just remember that
I am not trying to make an award winning website. But any tips on how I
might organize things better, or make things presentable is appreciated.
Okay, here's the story- I like
NHRA Drag
Racing. 0-300+ mph in between 4.5 (actually 4.486, but who's keeping track?)
and 5 seconds- that's hauling some pretty serious ass. The current estimation
of Top Fueller/Funny Car motor output is at 6000 hp. That's A LOT of oomph.
Out of 500 cubic inches, no less. A lot of boost (it is said that driving
the blower on a Top Fueller drags the motor by 500 hp or so), and a lot
of nitromethane (a mixture of nitric acid and propane [called "nitromethane"]
is the fuel that these cars use) to be sure, but 6000 hp out of a pushrod
OHV motor. Just imagine if it had Honda's VTEC
system!!! Then it wouldn't make any power at all until 10,000 RPM, and
it would have no torque what so ever!!! Wheel stands and traction problems
would be a thing of the past...
