Welcome to the Ashley Turner Art and Photography site! PHILOSOPHY Everything we see, touch, smell and hear, brings information to the brain to be assessed, valued, installed or discarded as we see fit. Photography is perceived by the viewer in the same way. Light, shade, texture, colour all have their own "taste" which varies from one person to another. Thank heavens it does! My differing styles are about teasing the spirit, and humouring the soul. I try to put to you objects of everyday life presented in a possibly offbeat fashion, or in a way that strikes a chord in you personally. It may be a "look" a "scene" a "shape" which triggers an emotional response. TECHNICAL INFORMATION I use 2 1/4 square inch Rollei and Hasselblad cameras. I also use 35 mm Nikon gear. All the gear is second hand and rather battered! The lenses range from 35 mm to 50-80 mm standard to 135 mm. My lab technician whom I have known for many years ensures that the hand printing is to a very high standard. Each photograph is discussed to obtain the best from it. Clients are assured of my attention and professionalism at all times. Your feedback will be most appreciated. Ashley Turner
