More football stuff

It's a big pic. page, so it's going to take a minute to load everything.....

Want to see me in action coaching?  Then Go Here to download a MPG

Here's me with the other two offensive coaches for our freshmen team.  On the left is Mike Fairley, and on the right is Jerry Halfacre.  Fairley coached receivers, Halfacre coaches quarterbacks and running backs.

Here's me and the kickoff return team.  I think we average our returns out to about the 30-35 yard line, which is pretty good field position.  We were so close to breaking a long one for a touchdown, but still needed some work.

Just how stressful is it to be a coach?

I probably walk about 3 miles just pacing back and forth on the sidelines.....

I eventually wore down a nice path in the grass.....

Our 9th grade head coach can be seen in the white shirt facing towards the field.

Too bad we're going to lose him, he's a good coach and great guy.

And I lead the team during pre-game and half time calesthenics.  Nothing hard, 5 jumping jacks, 5 push-ups, 5 sit-ups, and 5 more jumping jacks.

All I do is blow a whistle....

Yep, no hard work on my part here or anything.....

You have to ask the players a lot of questions during the game to find out what the other team is doing.

Its not the NFL where you have men in an upstairs booth feeding you live tv and radio reports or faxing down pictures of formations.

I may ask 300 times a night "Where did this guy go?  What did this guy do?  How did they line up?  Where did they line up?"

But thats stuff you have to know......

Just more action from the sidelines.

I don't know how I was able to smile...

This was taken at about 8 in the morning during our annual "Aggie Camp" where we keep the players at school during "3-A-Days. "

And I'm the one that has to watch over them while they sleep, which is never.....

Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep the night before, which explains why I forgot to put on my belt......
