Different Years, Different Corvairs

Okay, lets start with the beginning. In 1959, Chevy introduced the Corvair. It came in 2 models, the 4 door, or the 2 door.

A 1960 700 sedan.


Then, in 1963, Chevy introduced the Spyder, a turbo charged Corvair with a 180 horsepower engine.
In 1964, not many changes were made to the appearence, but drastic changes were made to the suspension.


In 1965, changes were made all around. the body was totaly recreated, and the suspension was stiffend and strengthened.


From 1966 to 1969, no changes were made to the body, but as emmisions began to become a factor of the automobile manufacturing process, emission controls were added to the engine.
