Sheridan Model A "Super Grade" Registry

Welcome to the Sheridan Model A registry page.

We are vintage air gun enthusiasts with a special interest in Sheridans. We are fortunate to have acquired a couple of Model A Super Grades. Only 2,130 were produced between 1947 and 1953. In an effort to learn more about these great guns, we have started this registry. Differences noted in early production and late production rifle.

bolt handle and safety; long handle on early model
bolt locking pin; aligned with bolt handle on early model
bolt breech end; longer pin on late model
trigger; early model tapered, later model thick
hand guard; not present on early model
pump handle; early model lined with felt....also note differences of pump lever length, dog leg, and bumper
location of forearm attachment pins different
stock; early model about 1/2" longer at butt....early stock also has shallow flute on right side of comb
front sight; late model has bead
Sheridan logo; engraved block letters on early model
pear shaped bolt handle has hole in center on earlier SN
