The most amazing evening for me

When it was announced that Alison Krauss & Union Station were coming to town I was hoping to get the opporunity to meet the band. It was the third time I saw them in concert. Each time I had met the band by chance on the street. This time I decided that I would not be denied to see them back stage after the show. I was somewhat amazed how few people were backstage or at least tried to be. I was the only hard core fan that was there. The first to arrive back stage was Ron (the banjo player, wearing the plum shirt in the picture). I was humbled by the experience but I was able to keep my wits and carry on a conversion with him. Next to arrive was Alison. I let her have her space for a while and then I went over to her and thanked her for coming to Rochester and asked if I could get a picture with her. The answer was a very genuine SURE! I wanted got the two of us in a picture and also the band but I thought I better not press my luck. The entire band was EXTREMELY nice. They were more than happy to answer questions and gave me the "oh shucks" reply when I complimented them.
