In 1974, 17-year-old Raul began his career racing go-karts in Brasil. A year later, he won the Curitiba City go-kart Championship. It was an early sign of the level of success he would achieve in the racing world. He quickly progressed to racing stock cars, open-wheeled formula cars and exotic sportscars.
