Andy's Sad Rev Head Page!

Photo Album

When I'm not spending money on cars, another interest of mine is going to nice places and taking photos! All the following were taken with one of the following cameras:

Olympus OM101 with manual adaptor, 24-800 mm lenses

Olympus OM10 with manual adaptor, 24-800 mm lenses

Olympus Miu (one of those small things!).

I didn't intend the collection to be all Olympus, but the first camera I've had since I was 17, and when I came across an OM10 for a bargain price ($140 with two lenses, filters, bags, cable release, 2X converter, tripod, manuals etc), I couldn't resist it- especially as I could use all my lenses between the two cameras. The Miu was bought cos it's so small and portable, so could take on skiing trips or whenever I couldn't carry a suitcase full of camera bits!

Anyway, here are a few nice photos!

This photo was taken in February 97. A typical gloomy day at London Docklands (see the tower above Jamie's head?)

Another shot, different day, again demonstrating the wonderful weather in London.

I don't think I need to tell you what this is. But just look at the colour of the water!

The next few shots are taken in Verbier, Switzerland. Above, a view from the very top of the mountain, looking down on the glacier and ski fields. This has to be seen to really be appreciated! There is a larger version of this shot if you click on it...

This is slightly lower down the same slope- shame it doesn't convey how f'ing steep the slope was!

Now, that's what I call a mogul field. This was ski-breakingly steep and very hard work- it went on like this for 2 km!

Another somewhat unpleasant view from the slopes- gee, I really regret going there...Click on the picture if you want to see a larger version (48K)

Shame about the boyz being in the shot, but hey, that's life. We were all watching a collection of madmen on a mountain opposite snowboarding down vertical rock faces. The biggest surprise was a guy from my home here in Perth competing!

This is the mountain! The start was on the peak on the left and they came straight down!

We, being of sound(er) mind, sat at the cafe drinking beer and mulled wine whilst watching the boarders.

Nice hanging valley.

Oh look- more snow!

Quite an impressive mountain range!

Late afternoon/early evening on the slopes...

The road to Mount Tekapo ski slopes in the South Island of New Zealand.

How's this for a change in climate? 40 degrees in the shade in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia.

Corrigin (Western Australia wheatbelt), at sunset.

Wave Rock, outside Hyden, Western Australia

It's a busy life being a bird near my house!

The Black Swan really is an awesome bird to look at...

A classical shot of the swan...There's a bigger one of this(108K).

Just happened to be flying over Perth one day...

Perth again, this time from the ground! It's quite nice here, really.

See? There is more to life than playing around with cars!
