I was born in Feb 1957 in Tulsa OK. My dad was Max Brian Swenson and mom's maden name was Rosalie Ann Funfar. They met and married in Glenville, MN, where my mother lived with her parents. Dad was in the Army Air Co p for a short time during WW II and after returning from the war he took a job in OK where I was born. They had 4 children, me my older brother Max Brian Swenson Jr., my older sisters names are: Ruth MaryAnne (Miki) Swenson and Patti Sue Swenson-Abraham) Mom worked in the hospital there as an X-Ray Tech, and Dad sold oil well parts then later became a postman. My dad's father's name was "Swen" Swenson. I don't know his real first name yet. His wife's maiden name was Ruth Ann Bailey. I think she was fr m Texas. Anyway Swen left Ruth when dad was very young and she eventually remarried. Her second husband's name was Harry Walsh. I would like very much to know what happened to Swen. When he left my grandmother and my father we think that he went to Te as and started another family. My older sister thinks he had a son named Carl Swenson who eventually ended up living in Tulsa. I remember as a child that my father had Carl Swenson over for dinner one night to determine if they might be half brothers. But I was never told the outcome of that meeting and Dad died in 1967. I am with the Pacific Coast Air Museum in Santa Rosa California. We have an F-16N that come from NWFS Miramar "Top Gun". I an looking for anyone with F-16 experence to help us with this aircraft. The Navy gave us this F-16N minus engine and a few components. We are in the process of powering up the aircraft cockpit and lights. I am dealing with Lockheed Martin and someone a Edwards, but is there anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area that could join the crew to help. There is only 10 F-16's in museums and we are one of only two public museums to have one on display. The Navy left us with almost perfect plane, but we want to light up displays and exterior lighting to show off the plane. Even if most of the entries so far are from lawndart owners. Yes, I was a Rhino Keeper, and now I take care of the titamium tennis courts, hell we can't all be perfect. I can truefully answer yes to most of the "You might be a crewchief if ..." and there were some crazy war stories to go with them. I spent the "Storm" at Osan on Eagle Alert, spending my two days on recouperating from my two days off! That was about the best TDY I've had. To bad it's not as much fun in the f rce any more. I loved every moment of my CC career, even at Minot, KI Sawyer, and Grandforks, but after 21 years of it I de ided to make a change and jumped into the Family Support Center Deputy Director job at Osan AB, Korea. Being a CC was great, because it gives one a great sense of accomplishment when your jet flies and comes back safe and sound (code 1 of course).
