Centrally located in the heart of the Adirondack Park and overlooking 9-mile long Schroon Lake, the Wayfarer offers newly renovated rooms at an exceptionally low price. We are within walking distance   to excellent dining and the tranquil waters of our pristine lake. The village center is a mere 2 miles away for all conveniences, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet relaxation you deserve. From the back of our property, guests can walk, bike, snowshoe or snowmobile directly into the Park. Our central location makes the perfect base for your daytrip exploration of the Adirondacks in every direction and in all 4 seasons. See our activities page for more information.

After a long hike or a day  spent on the lake, there are few things more refreshing than a dip in our olympic sized swimming pool. The pool is open from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, in-season, and is fully fenced and gated to keep  our younger guests where they belong. You'll find plenty of comfortable chairs and loungers in our shaded cabana in which to relax or simply catch some rays poolside.
