Welcome to my collection of Southside Virginia's local 'Hot Rods'. If you see one you like and want more info let me know. Thanks for visiting!
This one is my toy. It is a 70 Camaro SS with a 377, AFR Heads, 252/260 Dur. 600/625 Lift roller, holley 850, H-beam rods, 4340 steel crank, forged Ross 12.5 pistons, Team-G intake and a NOS Cheater nitrous system. Behind the motor is a Turbo 350 with a 4200 RPM stall converter and a 12-bolt rear with 4.10 gears, 28x12.50 ET Street's . So far it has run a best of 6.73 in the 1/8th-mile @ 104 mph with 100 hp shot of juice on street tires and thru the mufflers. I just can't wait to see what it will do with a 250 shot!!! 6.20's maybe?!?! I've done everything to the car myself except the machine work and tranny. The power plant freshly installed. It features 377 ci, 12.5/1 comp. Ross pistons, 2.08/1.65 Pro Flo valves and a full port job on the Afr 220 heads and Team G intake. It also has a new fuel system with separate lines for the (reworked and flowed) 850 Holley and NOS. Suspension changes include adjustable drag shocks and Competition Engineering Lift Bars w/monoleaf springs. The exhaust was upgraded with 3" pipes. The Interior was upgraded with a new dash, carpet, seats and headliner. The seats are fiberglass racing seats covered to look like factory seats. Alot of time spent on the chassis and firewall painting but it was well worth it. Next will be a new paint job to match underneath the hood.
Next is my 'work truck' . It is an 89 C-1500 Sportside with a 408, flat top forged pistons, 268 cam, '73 Chevy cast iron heads that are mildly ported, performer intake and a 125 hp nitrous system. Its backed up by a Turbo 350 with a 2000 stall and 3.08's. I did the motor and the paint myself (the paint was done in one all-nighter). So far it has run a best of 12.73. Not bad for a nearly stock engine with just about all chevy parts that cost under $950 to build! This a picture of what I hope my current project car will look like when I'm done. The paint scheme will be different and I want a hardtop roof, but it should be pretty close to this. I plan on building a mild 5.7" rod 383 with either fuel injection or a blower and 750 Holleys.
This is another friends 71 Nova. It has a radical 350/350 combo that has run 11's in the quarter and won some trophies. Nice!! Next is a picture of a friends show truck. He and another friend did the paint, the engine, some of the interior work, the sound system, and all the intensive detail work. It has a built 350/350 combo with a 3500 stall and 3.73 gears.
Chris Ellis's 32 Coupe one fast and clean ride. Featuring a blown 350 and chopped top. Chris Ellis's 'work truck' a very clen show winning Ford. Features a Mustang 302 and clean graphics.
Johnny Hazelwood's sharp 77 Aspen RT. It sports a clean 360 Mopar. One show quality ride! This Ventura is a fine ride too. It's packin' a 428 Pontiac with an attitude a Turbo-400 and 4.11 rear-gears. It may look like Casper, but it ain't too friendly.
