Restoration techniques, processes and tips for classic automobiles.

Web site completely renovated on October 8, 2000!

Do you want to know how to restore a vehicle (in general, of course!)? Do you have (or are you thinking of buying) a vehicle that will need some restoring but you want to know just what you're getting yourself into? Have you seen a restored vehicle on the road and wondered how it got to look so good?

This is the place for you!

Having recently purchased a classic 1983 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce 2.0, which - quite frankly - looked to be in much worse shape that it really was, I decided to chronicle my experiences in restoring the car. On this web site you will find the good, the bad and the surprises, helpful shortcuts and what to avoid, what to do, how to do it and - perhaps even more importantly - what NOT to do and how NOT to do it.

As the links below show, I already plan on restoring TWO cars. My Alfa Romeo and my brother's 1953 Dodge Meadowbrook. However, since my brother is not yet ready to start his restoration project, I will begin with my car.

And please remember, if you have a question to ask, a suggestion to make, or just some kind words of encouragement, Email me! I really want to hear from YOU and I will post relevant comments, questions and suggestions here on the web site.

Just click on the car of your choice, below, to start . . .
