Hello! My name is Mac Hooke, and you're exploring my first webpage.  As you     might have guessed, I'm not a computer genius.  I'm not done yet, but I'm adding

new stuff as time allows.  I started making this page using the Yahoo! Pagebuilder, but as I worked I got curious about HTML.  I did a little research and learned a little about it, and wrote some myself.

So you want to know about me - I was born in Kingwood, TX, (just north of Houston) and have lived there all my life, until I moved away to college.  Right now, I'm a sophomore at Texas A&M University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.  WHOOP! :-)  I'm not sure what I want to do with my degree just yet, but I would really love to work in the auto industry.  I'm also a member of the Texas A&M Sports Car Club.

My interests include cars, music, and girls, not necessarily in that order.

My first car was the family mini-van, a 1986 Toyota.  (Think "toaster on wheels"). This wasn't exactly the "ride" I had always dreamed of, so it was out of the picture rather quickly.  We got my next car, a charcoal grey 1990 Honda Accord from an auction, basically.  Originally, I caught the car stereo bug in my Accord, though I spent time and money "ricing" it out, also.   I put on an HKS intake, Dyno-max muffler with 4" Brospeed fart tip, "black out" headlight covers, and 16" Prime three blade wheels.  I probably would have kept the Accord if not for a fat guy with no insurance that cut across four lanes of traffic and knocked me headfirst into a telephone pole at 45-50 mph.  Game over for the Honda.  I managed to strip everything except the exhaust off it before the insurance company declared it totaled and hauled it off.

The next car was a black 1989 Mazda 929.  I had this for about a year, and spent most (all) of my money for the stereo in this one, even though I never got it fully installed.  This car was definitely NOT a sports car, which is what I had always wanted.  I had also
always wanted a BMW, too.  A BMW sports car would be perfect...

Enter the 325is.  I had decided about two weeks ago that the Mazda had to go.  I didn't know what was going to replace it, but I was searching through online classifieds for "BMW", so I guess I knew from the beginning, really.  A friend mentioned to his mom that I was looking for a BMW and a day or two later she came home with a picture, description, and phone number that had been posted in her office.  I went to see it that weekend, and it was exactly what I wanted.  I made three trips home from A&M that week, to look it over, let Mom look it over, and sign the papers and take delivery.  YES!  It was mine!

I started installing the stereo soon after that.  Ever since I got my first car, my stereos have gotten bigger, more elaborate, and more expensive, but I think I have plateaued with the current system I have in my BMW.  You can check out the page I have dedicated to my stereo
here, and the Bimmer itself here.

I'd love to get some feedback about my page, so feel free to
