This was the world's first vertical drop rollercoaster to be made ever!
(Staffordshire, England).

Right - Scorcher an intense stand-up rollercoaster that features many twists and turns.
(Georgia,
United States).

Left - Ultra Twister a new type of coaster called a pipeline coaster. This rollercoaster provides barrel rolls and there is also a 9 story drop.

featured in the add-on pack to Rollercoaster Tycoon.

Right - The Mad Cobra at Suzuka Circuit Land.
This rollercoaster has no chain, yes that's right it's powered by liner induction motors.

Liner Induction Motors

This is the use of electromagnets to power rollercoasters, this method produces high acceleration rates. The current best liner induction motor rollercoaster is Superman (Six Flags Magic Mountain). This is a steel shuttle racing coaster that reaches at top speed of 161 Km/h and a height of 400 feet!
