This Fiat from Michigan would visit our local track once and awhile. Always a strong runner. Wonder where it is today?

As you have seen already, we own a Fiat Topolino,ex drag car....NOW, If I had a dollar for everytime I was ask if ours is the "Karbelt " car,I'd be a whole lot richer..The answer is NO. Karbelt Fiat was a strong running ,high revving, small block Chev; It was very sucessful as a C/A winning many local races and runner-up'd at a few National events. This car later ran a Hemi motor, but never had the sucess that it did with the small Chevy.

The Brown Brother also ran their Fiat locally for many years. It started with a buick motor and later stepped up to run BB/A with a front mounted potvin blower on a small block chev. I think they ran VERY close to the National record. This car was Steel, not 'glass like most Fiat were,(including ours).

This fiat keep turing up in photos from the old NIAGARA Dragway. It's was owned by a Buffalo ,NY racer Stan Bowman.It was a regular at Niagara dragway. Check the Prefect parked beside it..
