It boggles my mind that a company as large as yahoo can purchase Geocites, a site that prides itself with providing FREE websites to all, then ten years down the road figure out that they can't make gobs of money by providing FREE websites.

It took them over ten years to figure this out? REALLY!?

Thank you Geocities for the 13 years you provided for me. I and my friends really have appreciated it. It's not your fault that a dot com nasty came along to break your promise.

To you yahooligans who think you'll force me to pay for a site that has been free from day one I say BALDERDASH! I'll not pay you one red cent! You may be able to force others to do it, but not me!
