February 18, 2001 is a day that will live forever in the lives of every Nascar fan across the world. Dale Earnhardt passed away after a crash in Turn 4 at Daytona International Speedway. No matter if you loved or hated him, no one could help but be saddened by his untimely death.

I started watching Nascar back in 1990. I'm not sure why I picked Earnhardt as my favorite, I just remember thinking that I liked the way he drove a car, he was fearless. The more I watched, the more I realized that this man was awesome. I soon realized that the reason I liked the man was also the reason that alot of people hated him. They complained that his driving style was to rough and to agressive but that was what helped him become a legend. He was "The Intimidator", "Ole Ironhead" and "The man in Black". Dale's memory will forever live on, he is most definately "The Man".
