3/27/00 - The Garage portfolio had a good week. Cisco split again. If you bought in just two months ago in the $60 to $75 range your investment promptly marched to $140, split back to $70 and shows signs of continuing forward from there.

The security stocks continue to do well. Our ISS shows no signs of stopping. Hi/fn continues to improve.

Entrust suffered a little at the start of the week. The entire PKI space was set back a bit by the news that Versign was merging with Network Solutions. By Friday that was old news and Entrust was back on track.

Covad and the entire DSL provider space get beat regularly in the press. Last week was no exception. I saw several articles pointing out the problems faced by the DSL providers in getting customers installed. Soon as that hits a message board some of the non-believers bail out and the stock moves downward. For the long haul, this segment and this stock are winners.

Suggestion: The Garage Investor suggest creating your own custom view when looking at securities. We suggest you add the "52-week range" and "Maket Capitilization" fields to your view.
