Good Resume builders:

-Don't make your resume longer than two pages. Most people won't want to read that much. The ideal length is an attractive one page resume. Make sure that the format is appealing and easy to read.

-Make sure all information is correct.

Interview Info:

-Always make sure you have plenty of copies of your resume and then some. Inteviews may be conducted with a group of people. If there are several people they will likely all request a resume. If not it is simply a good courtsey to provide them with one.

-Don't end up playing phone tag. Give a specific date and time you can be reached. Also be professional and have an answering machine. Voice mail, pager, and a cell phone are your choice. If you do get a message from a possible imployer call them back as soon as you get that message.

-Ask for a business card at the end of an interview. This contains vital contact information and also shows interest and responsibility on your part.

-Write a thank you letter for all interviews that you get. This is professional and polite. Make sure names are spelled correctly and the proper titles are used.

Educational Links:

Not sure which classes are transferable between different campuses or which classes are equivelents? Check out this site:

Assist

Want help with college classes or get a jump on future classes? If so check out notes of mine from classes that I have taken at the University of California at Riverside. If you would like to know which classes are the equivelents of these at the school you are at then go to the Assist site. Currently I have posted notes for Math9A, CS10, CRWT56 & 152, ETST/RLST12, Chem1A, and Bio2. You can acess these notes at:

Study24-7

To view the notes you will have to setup a FREE account. It is really no trouble, you can also view notes from many other classes posted by people from schools all over the country and you can post your own notes and get paid!

If you become a note taker so you can GET PAID it is important that you send the site an e-mail stating your name, username, school, and that you were referred by user MagicMarker from UCR. You really can make a lot with this company and typing in your notes is great for review.
