August 21, 1999--Long time, no see

Well, big news: I now own one and a half Porsche 924s. So now I have to feed money into those. One is a '79 that I found on the side of the road and one is an '81 that my friend had. Both five speeds. I am working on getting the '79 running, and I have tracked problem number one to the electrics running the fuel system. I am trying to get Terry to work on that. I will link into that page soon, but I have to get it built first.

Small news: I have one Road Gear 12" wired up, with my Rockwood amp. It doesn't sound bad at all considering what I paid for it. The accelerator pump on my carb has gone out. I tried a new rubber thingy, but that didn't fix it. I think that there is dirt in the way. I ran a bottle of STP treatment through but it didn't help yet. I am going to try another bottle soon. After that I guess I will have to rebuild it.

Terry's Car: We pulled the cylinder heads, painted them and the intake and the valve covers, cleaned out the number 8 cylinder wall, got most of the gunk out of his oil passages, and put it all back together. It is all running, except for the fact that now the flywheel is gone kaput and he has to start his car with a wrench. Hopefully he will get that fixed soon.

Seth's Car: His car is on the road, timing is off, there is no interior, and he needs to lower it, but it is well on its way.

Greg's Car: I bought a Holley 4V and 2V adaptor plate at the fleamarket for $30 and sold it to Greg for $40. We tried to get it on but something grounded out to the carb and set it on fire. We got that out but we have to wait to try again because his dad is making him put the two on for a while. But the four does work, I tried it on the Cougar. Thats that.
