Rosie's Racing

Introductions...

Rosie's Racing was founded in 1998 by Inno G. Volpe Jr. as an out-of-pocket venture. Number 98 is a four cylinder open-wheeled modified car that runs weekly at Evergreen Raceway in St. Johns PA. We ended our first week of racing by finishing ninth in points. Although each race is a goal in itself, Inno is looking for progress and growth - can the Winston Cup be far away?

A few years ago, Inno had asked an old friend, James D. Craig (jc), to become Crew Chief for his racing team. jc accepted, but nothing concrete developed until 1997. That's when Inno met race-team owner Tom Flanagan, who had a used car for sale at $3,000. "Tom turned out to a heck of a guy, "Inno says. Tom agreed to let Inno have the car and make payments weekly. As soon as he got the car home, Inno and jc started to strip the car and rebuild it to be ready for the 1998 season at Evergreen Raceway. Another $2,000 and a lot of work later - with the help of Rosie, his loving wife and co-owner, Inno's dream has finally come true. We have gone racing.

Inno and jc are learning quickly, and quickly learning how much more there is to learn. They would like to thank their supporters and volunteer crew, including Dino's Pizzateria, AAA Carriers, Rosie, Steve, Inno Sr., Dante, Adam, Chrissy, Al, and the young ladies - Laura (13), Katie (10), and Sarah (6).
