A Look Into the Life of Michelleaneous

Well, hmmm... a bit about Michelleaneous huh? Ok then, here goes....

I was born in Toronto on August 19, 1966. I spent all of my formative years in North York (a suburb of Toronto).

At the age of 7 my family purchased a summer cottage in Lakefield, Ontario. Lakefield, although quite small, has an international reputation. It was the home for several famous Canadian authors, namely Catherine Parr Trail, Susannah Moodie and Margaret Laurence. It is also the home to Lakefield College School, where Prince Andrew and the Crown Prince of Spain studied.

I attended Georges Vanier Secondary School from grades 10-12, and George S. Henry Sencondary School for grade 13 (yes, in Ontario we have 13 grades).

In 1986 I ventured away from home, to attend St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. What a wonderful place! Alas and alack, I didn't have enough money to complete my education there, so my final year was spent at University of Toronto's Scarborough College. I graduated in November of 1989 with a B.A. in English Literature.

Upon graduation, I did a fair bit of moving around, beginning with a summer (1989) in Calgary, Alberta. The fall of 1989 found me in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I must say, the winter I spent there was no where near as bad as people had told me it would be. April of 1990 saw me move once again, this time to Ottawa, Ontario. I stayed there for 6 years (about time I settled down, don't you think?). In April of 1996, I moved once again, this time to the United States, to be with Psychobabbler in Federal Way, Washington. When my funds ran out in July, I moved back home to North York, Ontario. My moving days weren't quite over at this point.... in May of 1997 I returned once again to Federal Way, to get married to Psychobabbler. Psycho & I bought a house in Bremberton, WA)

August 2, 1997 was one of the happiest days of my life. Psychobabbler and I were married at 5:30pm at Snoqualmie Falls in Washington. The weather was beautiful, if not hot. The reception had so much food that I'm still full! We spent two wonderful nights at the Salish Lodge for our honeymoon. Now it's back to the real world for both of us...

Sadly, the real world got in the way. September 9, 2003 marked the end of our marriage. It was a wonderful 6 years that I will never forget.

That's a brief history about myself and my travels. Now, for a bit more about me...

I adore cooking. Problem is, there aren't enough people around to eat all that I make! So, if you're ever in the neighbourhood, drop by and I'll cook up a storm!

Somewhere along the way I learned a few musical instruments. Although I have not played any in several years, I have some skill in playing the piano, violin, cello and singing alto in choirs.

On of the primary recreations I indulge in is 10 pin bowling. I'm still just learning (I used to bowl 5 pin back in Ontario, which is an entirely different game).
