"John's Cologne Pic's"

One of our shortest visits was to the city of Cologne, Germany. It is spelled Koln in German
with an umlaut over the "o". I didn't take too many pictures because Bill and I were pretty
much freezing our butts off while we were there. As a matter of fact I had taken off my hat
when we went into the Cathedral, out of respect, but I put it back on while in there. Bill and
I were on our way out when a priest pointed to indicate that I should remove my hat. I did
for the whole 30 seconds it took us to get outside. Fortunately, Mary Lou from our group was
taking photographs inside the cathedral. Cologne, in my opinion, has such a cacaphony of
architecture that it really is hard to set aside one area for its beauty. There is too much
modern mixed with the old. It presents quite a confused skyline. I would probably go back
to see some of its wonderful museums if I ever had the chance.
