To think I could sum up Southern California in a few sentences. Most of my days there were spent in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. It was great while it lasted, about twenty years, but things finally just got out of hand there with overcrowding, gridlock, and way too many obnoxious people. It became obvious that it was time to explore the lands and people east of the Colorado River. I've been all over hell since I bailed in 1987, Europe, the Middle East, Canada and several more states. Sometimes I do miss the place, but only for what it once was and it will never be that again.
