I played hell...
Trying to find a cool picture of Memphis. People must
be flocking there because most of what I did find concerned either
real estate or apartments. I eventually gave up and settled on
Elvis (I just saw him in the parking lot this morning!). I didn't really live in Memphis anyway,
it was actually Millington, a few miles to the north. This was my first assignment after boot
camp, a year of avionics training. Very intense. Little did I know at the time, from
there I would be dragged, kicking & screaming, to my first aircraft carrier (the beginning of a very long nightmare).
