My Second Wedding Cake



February, 2000
This was my second wedding cake, done about 2 years after the first. Once again it was for SCA friends.

The cake was red velvet, torted into 4 layers per tier and filled with cream cheese filling, then iced in buttercream. The spirals on the sides were marked with a round cookie cutter, a line of icing piped, and then strands of string pearls were applied. Pearls were also used in the bottom borders.
