Your Doorway to the Past

Open to the general public on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1:00pm - 4:00pm and starting in June on Thursdays between 1:00pm and 7:00pm.

Museum is located at 58 Hanson Street

A small variety of souvenirs can be purchased including historical books, magnets, and Christmas Ornaments

At the Rochester Historical Society Museum you can take a trip into the past through the exhibits and displays of local artifacts dating from the 1800's into the 20th Century.

The Rochester Historical Museum, built in the 1800's, was a horse stable back in the horse and buggy days. Today the city leases the building to the Historical Society.


Many items From Rochester's past can be viewed and enjoyed.



Although not currently on display, the museum has preserved old soldier uniforms donated by Rochester's veterans. Eventually these uniforms will be put on display.
