ROCHESTER MEN OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION (1775 - 1783)
The men of Rochester, NH contributed greatly to the American victory in the Revolution. Soldiers from Rochester participated in the battles of Saratoga, Yorktown, Trenton, endured the winter at Valley Forge. Some were killed in battle, killed from disease, and others died while imprisoned in British prisons. Rochester lost 29 men in the war.

The list of Rochester Men in the American Revolution is incomplete. So much time has passed from those days that no complete list exists. The list of soldiers is broken into two groups;
Militia Units and the Continental Army. Unlike the Civil War list where there is a lot of information and detail, the American Revolution Militia list is not very detailed. The militia units are basically a list of names and rank. I will try to get more information and fill in.
