I would like you to enjoy the things I have seen and done in Alaska. Here are some digital photo's I have taken so you will see Alaska....The way I do...when I do!! These photos are NOT INTENDED FOR USE BY OTHER PARTIES AND MAY NOT BE USED WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. Thank you very much.

Here are some photos that I have recently taken while visiting my Mom, Dad, Brother and his wife in Portland, Connecticut. I am currently on holiday and will update photos as I have time.

I have added some new photographs that I felt I had to share with you. I had the pleasure to go fishing with two of my work associates on June 07, 2000.
James Ohlinger (Captain, and a pretty good fisherman too!) and Steve Sitton (Damn good friend and a true Alaskan outdoorsman) left from Anchorage to fish for Chinook (King Salmon) on the Deshka River, which is North of Anchorage. The Deshka is a tributary of the Big Susitna Drainage which is prime salmon fishing in Alaska.

Good weather and good friends always make for a great fishing trip. Remember, "The worst day of fishing, beats the best day of work". James cooly landed his 31 pound fish about an hour after we hit the water (even though he forgot the net) and was kicking back enjoying a cold drink wondering out loud, if, and when we would ever get a fish. The two Steve's were wondering if they would have to hear about this trip all the way home when Mr. Sitton got a big hit on his line. So big that he dropped his cold drink. Well, when the fish spit the hook, Mr. Sitton was.....a little upset. Just a little though. Not to worry, an hour later he was landing a nice bright 20 pound King and that has a way of changing a man's attitude.

I hate being the last one to catch a fish, because there is always that peer pressure. Low and behold, I was able to land my first King Salmon in 19 years. Too sweet and quite a special moment for me. I probably will not get another King Salmon and that sits OK with me, because I truly believe that this species of Salmon was put on Earth for certain people to enjoy. I am very glad I had this opportunity to be one of those people. Oh, and who says you can't catch two fish on the same lure! Thank you James & Steve! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, below are the photo's of our trip, if you see anything you like, let me know!

Below are some great photos of more Alaska fish. These were caught by some of our friends. Robert and Anne are very good friends. We know them because our kids go to the same school. Ryan and Cami are best of 'buds'. Here are some photos of the fish that these guys caught. Man, fishing in Alaska sure is a kick. Fish on! :-)

These next few photographs are very special to me. The photographs were sent to me when I first was learning how to work on my computer. I might add that the three photos you are about to look at are all originals taken by my e-mail friend Barb Kaptanian. Barb worked in Antartica for a while, and devoted time to her work at McMurdo Base. I have a special relationship with Barb, and consider her family. I hope you can appreciate the photographs you are about to see.....; The first is of a colony of Emporer Penguins, followed by a photo of the South Pole; lastly, one of the lonliest jobs in the Arctic, Breaking Ice on a Coast Guard Cutter. Enjoy.

Below are some more photos I have taken with my digital camera. The first is of a Bald Eagle perching on a post in Homer, Alaska. Our family was very fortunate to get to go to Jean's trailer located on the Homer Spit. She is known better as "The Eagle Lady" to locals. These are very special photos so I hope you appreciate them. The other photos are of my wife's flowers. I will add as the flowers are blossoming!!

While we were in Homer, Alaska, we decided to take a boat trip over to a place called Seldovia. Below are some photos taken on the boat and once we arrived. Talk about isolated, quiet and beautiful. We stayed for a couple hours and hiked, spent some money and got back on the boat. Nice place to visit........

I went to Houston, Texas for 5 weeks. While there, I took some road trips and I thought I would include some photos of where I have been going. Below are some photos of Lake Conroe, which is a beautiful area North of Houston.
