Comments: I was born and raised about three miles west of Tellico Plains, and went to New Providence Baptist Church, where my grandparents are buried, along with several other relatives. I went to Tellico Plains High School and left to join the Army in February 19 5. I am now retired from the Army and Civil Service and residing in El Paso, Texas. I enjoy visits back there whenever I can.

Comments: A trip to Tellico and Bald River falls was a treat for the family when I was younger. Now I share the pleasure with my grandchildren. But somehow, it is not the same....! Thankfully, the mountains have not changed. There is nothing like a walk above th falls early in the morning.
