Thanks for clicking over to my NASCAR page. There's nothing better than kicking back on a Sunday afternoon, and watching a NASCAR race; especially when there's a Ford leading. Ford is upset because their Thunderbirds haven't been winning as much as they would like. In response, they are thinking of using a Taurus, or another special design car. Ford has won eleven out of the first nineteen races this season, in my opinion if it ain't broke don't fix it. Anyways, take a look around. If you're a Dale Earnhardt or Jeff Gordon fan, Get Off My Page!!!! NEWS FLASH...I heard today that Ford will be running the Taurus next year! Personally, I think it's a crying shame that the Thunderbird won't be seen at the tracks no more. The Thunderbird has made the sport great!

Congratulations go out to Jeff Burton who won his first Winston Cup event on Sunday April 6th at the innaugural event at the Texas Motor Speedway. Burton brought home the win for Rousch racing after his teamates Mark Martin(The Man) and Ted Musgrave lost there engines. I don't know about you but I was afraid that Burton might drop an engine too. When interviewed after the race, Dale Jarrett said that Burton was just too strong and that even if he(Jarrett) hadn't lost his clutch, he still wouldn't have been able to catch Burton. All that really matters is that Jeff got that important first win, and Ford brought home another victory. Jeff Gordon, spun Jimmy Spencer out in the middle of the race, but Jeff got it back when he ran into Ernie Irvan. Don't worry Gordon, Jimmy will find you and you'll get your's. And if I recall correctly, Earnhardt owes you one from earlier this season. You may be the "Wonder Boy" but you don't own the track. Thanks again to Jeff Burton, for showing everybody just how good us Virginia boys can drive. Jeff got another one!! He won this weekend(7/13/97) at New Hampshire. Burton is becoming one of the top drivers, and making Roush Racing an even bigger threat to other teams. Congratulations Jeff, and win another one for Jack Roush and Ford!!

I've been noticing something the last couple of races, and I thought I would share it with you my loyal followers. If a Ford is leading and there is a wreck, they wait a lap or two before throwing the caution. If a Chevy is winning they throw the caution immediately. I guess there afraid that if that wait a lap for the Chevy's, a Ford might move into the lead. I'm getting a might upset at this whole thing. Y'all bare with me cause the commentary will probably get worse.

Next week we head of to the the Pennsylvania 500, at the 2.5 mile tri oval called Pocono. This is the "superspeedway that drives like a road course," so strap in and hang on!!

Now for some commentary: What is it with NASCAR?? Is Chevy paying them to try and restrict the Thunderbirds. Every time you turn around, there's some new regulation being imposed on the Fords. Whether it's a spoiler adjustment, or some other adjustment, you can almost count on there being a change to the Fords every race. Have you ever noticed how that the officials will impound a Ford that wins a race(Rusty Wallace), but if a Chevy wins there are no questions asked?? When they did take a Chevy to the wind tunnel, they took Terry LaBonte's car instead of the race winner Jeff Gordon. Now it seems to me that you would take the winner's car, maybe I'm just stupid, I don't know. People who saw both Gordon's and LaBonte's car say that they were visibly different. One thing I know for certain, if Chevy starts winning some races, you can be sure that NASCAR won't impose any changes on the Monte Carlo. Y'all know I'm right!!!
