DEMOTTE - Larry and Terri Boezeman love to dance. That's why you'll find them every Wednesday and Thursday evenings at the American Legion teaching country line dancing.

And some Friday and Saturday nights, they'll be shufflin' and steppin' at the Rockin' Ranch in Crown Point. But it wasn't always this way for the couple who will soon have their copyrighted dance, "Double Vision," on a Nashville video to be distributed nationwide.

Less than five years ago, Larry never danced at all, and Terri hated country music. Now, they not only teach country-western dancing but with their company, "County Line Productions," they also provide D.J. services for events.

Together they choreograph their own dances. "Cha-cha Del Rio," "Handle with Care," and "Diamond T" are a few of the original dances that they have created. The variety of music they play is extensive, mostly county-western, but, I also heard a Jimmy Buffet song when I watched the class. There is a lot of camaraderie, and the dancers really seemed to be having a good time. So, get out your boots (not essential, but fun) and put on your hat (also part of the uniform) and get on down to the American Legion to learn the latest in line dancing.

Singles and couples are welcome. The classes meet on Wednesday night from 7-9 p.m. for beginners and Thursday from 7-9 p.m. is an open class. The cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children under 18.
