Sarah Ophelia Cannon, to most known as Minnie Pearl, was one of the greatest entertainers I have ever meet or will ever meet again. I'm sure the world misses her as much as I do. I was lucky enough to have done four different shows with her on a Grand Ole Opry package tour in 1979, Seattle Wa., Vancouver B.C., Portland Or. and Spokane Wa. Other than her $1.98 sale tag on her hat, she wore a pair of shoes I shall never forget.

I spoke with her an her husband (Henry Cannon) in her dressing room after the Seattle show, that was when I realized just what a wonderful person she was.
Minnie you are deeply missed.
