CHAPTER 1

Liz was holding a secret inside of her. She had fallen for the American Bad Ass. Of course, all the women said that, but Liz had fallen for the man who portrayed him, Mark Callaway. Over and over she kept thinking it was a fantasy. But every time he would appear, it would seem that the world would stop. The thing was, she had not met him, having only seen him on television or the one time she actually went to a wrestling event. She had one friend who she talked to, that was Sherry. Sherry was her Internet friend. Actually, they were more like sisters than friends.

Rumor had been going around the Internet about his upcoming marriage. There had been so many it was hard to tell truth from rumor. Liz had been hoping the latest rumor was just that, a rumor.

Sherry had e-mailed Liz the latest on Mark's marriage, saying she had gotten it from a wrestling site that was very reliable. Liz was pretty sure it was for real this time. She e-mailed Sherry deciding it was time she told her about what she had been feeling for almost a year. Sherry knew Liz enough to realize that Liz wasn't given to fantasy. When she read Liz's latest email, she knew Liz was telling the truth. She tried to console her and say perhaps it wouldn't work out. As Liz watched wrestling that night, she waited for his entrance. When he came out, tears came in her eyes and ran down her cheeks. "Good-bye" was all she could manage.

CHAPTER 2

Liz and Sherry were talking on the computer one day about Wrestlemania, which would be in March the next year. Liz told her she was going and had already made hotel reservations. Sherry told her she would love to go but budget constraints kept her back. Liz told her she would send her momentos and possibly an autographed picture of Mark if she was able. Liz was secretly hoping she would at least get to shake his hand.

For 9 months she scrimped and saved every penny she could. She bought a new camera and plenty of film, new clothes, etc. She also put in for the time off extra early. When the day came for her to leave, she posted a short note to Sherry, saying she would call her as soon as she arrived. Liz was flying in the day before to allow herself time to get settled and calm her nerves. She got into Houston that afternoon. As she was going through the terminal, she spotted some of the wrestlers - Triple H, Rock, Dudleys', Kane, but she didn't see him. The terminal was somewhat crowded and she was a good ways behind them. When she got out the door, they were driving away.

She hailed a cab and went to the hotel. After checking in and unpacking she decided to get something to eat. After asking for a good restaurant, she was told of one a couple of blocks up the street. She sat in a corner booth taking her time eating. There wasn't much else to do as the events started the next day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CHAPTER 3
The next morning found her up early. After taking a shower and dressing in jeans and a rather tight t-shirt with sneakers, she went down to the lobby, double checking her camera and making sure she brought along the rolls of film and credit card for purchases, plus the autograph book.
After a leisurely breakfast, she went across the street to join the festivities which had just started. After purchasing her ticket, she entered. The first thing she went to see was a small wrestling ring that had been set up for people who were given the chance to wrestle. One of the wrestlers, Elroy (Crash Holly), was on hand to give tips and show some technical moves and how not to get hurt. Taking a few pictures, she went on to an area that was showing films of past Wrestlemanias. She watched for a while, especially when Mark was shown.
Further on there was an autograph session. Kane, Edge and Christian, Rakishi, Hardyz, and Lita were there. She got each one's autograph. She happened to overhear that Mark was going to make an appearance that afternoon. Liz decided to stick around so she wouldn't miss out.
After eating a hot dog she saw a line was forming.She found out that it was almost time for Mark to show. She got in line, which by now was stretched almost to the street. She could barely see him. The officials kept the line moving. Just as she got close enough, they said it was over. Mark got up and left. Liz was devastated. To be so close and then not be able to meet him.
"You look disappointed," a deep voice said.
Liz turned. As she was not very tall she was looking at a chest. She looked up to see a man with brown hair and blue eyes, his facial features were exactly like Mark's.
"I am. I waited in line a long time," she said sadly. "I was hoping to at least shake his hand."
"Perhaps you'll be able to shake his hand yet."
Liz just looked at him. The similarity between Mark and him was uncanny. "Excuse me, you look so much like Undertaker. Are you related?"
"Yes. I am his brother. My name is Jesse Callaway," extending his hand.
"I'm Liz Mitchell," she replied, shaking his hand.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

CHAPTER 4

"Come on. I'll take you there."

Liz was shocked. She walked with Jesse, who had taken her by the hand. Mark was talking to a couple of wrestlers. He turned around and smiled. "Hey, Jesse. Who have you got with you?"

"This is Liz. She had been standing in line for a good while but didn't get a chance to shake your hand before you left."

All Liz could do was stand there with her mouth open. Nervously she extended her hand. Mark took her hand in his. It just seemed to disappear.

"It's nice to meet you, Liz," he said in his deep voice. Liz knew she wouldn't wash that hand for a week. Jesse saw the look and almost laughed. He had seen this so many times whenever someone would meet Mark.

"Why don't I take a picture of the two of you."

Liz's mind slowly came back to reality. She stood next to Mark, who put his arm around her. Liz had not only shaken his hand, but she was having her picture taken with him as well. She was shaking as Jesse took a couple of pictures. Mark felt her shaking and held her closer. Liz felt like she had died and gone to heaven. Mark again shook her hand. "It was nice meeting you," he said to Liz. "Will see you later at the house," he said to Jesse, then he left.

She watched as he left. When he had shook her hand, she had looked at his other hand and noticed the ring. "Whoever she is," Liz thought enviously, "she is one lucky woman."

"Thank you very much. My friend, Sherry, won't believe this when I call her up tonight." She turned to leave. "What are you going to do now?" he asked.

"I was going to see about some of the other exhibits and perhaps get some t-shirts and other things for myself and Sherry."

"Mind if I come along?"

"I guess not."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CHAPTER 5
When Jesse had first seen Liz standing in line. He thought to himself that she was pretty. Her short dark hair and light colored eyes had caught his attention. He had wished women would looked at him the same way as they looked at Mark. Jesse was not ugly nor was he short. He was just a bit shorter than Mark and was very handsome. It was just that everybody noticed Mark first. It used to bother him at first, but he knew that it wasn't all a bed of roses for his brother either. He had seen the disappointed look on her face when she had not gotten to meet Mark.
They spent the rest of the afternoon looking at the exhibits. Liz bought some t-shirts, a pair of the Rock's sunglasses, a Kane mask, posters, etc. Jesse soon had his arms full carrying the items for her. It was getting toward evening. Liz told Jesse she was going to grab something to eat and head back to her room.
"I know of a restaurant that serves a good steak. Would you mind if I took you?"
"I thought you were going to go to your brother's house."
"He can wait. What do you say?"
"That sounds nice. Are you in a hurry? I would like to get these things back to the hotel and then change."
"No, I'm in no hurry. Where are you staying?"
"At the hotel across the street?"
"My car isn't too far from here. I'll help you carry them across the street; then you can change. I'll get my car and be in the lobby waiting."
As soon as Liz entered her room, she called Sherry, who asked how was it.
"Sherry, you are not going to believe this. Mark had made an appearance. The line was so long it almost was to the street. Just as I was about a couple of people behind, Mark had to leave. I was really disappointed. I turned and saw this real tall man who said that I looked disappointed. His features were just like Marks, except he had brown hair and blue eyes."
"You were close enough to notice his eye color. Uh Huh," Sherry said.
"I told him he looked just like Mark. He said he was his brother. We introduced ourselves. His name is Jesse. He then took me over to where Mark was standing and introduced me to him. Sherry, all I could do was stand there with my mouth open." Sherry was surprised when Liz told her, and then giggled as she could picture Liz with her mouth open. "Mark and I shook hands. Jesse took a picture of Mark and I with his arm around me. Sherry, I was shaking the whole time. I knew Mark could feel me shake because he pulled me closer. When he left, Jesse asked if he could go with me and look at the exhibits. We spent the afternoon looking at the exhibits. I bought a lot of t-shirts and other things. Jesse carried them for me. I'm changing clothes here in a bit as he is taking me out to dinner."
"You are going out on a date with Mark's brother?!"
"It's just for dinner."
"Well, have a good time. And behave yourself?" she added with emphasis.
"Yes, mother." she replied jokingly.
After hanging up, she freshened up and changed to a nice blouse, dress slacks, and sandals. She put on a touch of makeup, then left for the lobby. Jesse was there waiting. As he saw her approach he saw the wait was worth it. Perhaps he would be the lucky one this time.
"You look nice. Ready to go?" he asked.
"Thank you. Yes, I am."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

CHAPTER 6

The place he took her was a nice restaurant. It wasn't fancy but the food was delicious. Through dinner, they talked about the exhibits. She told him she would be going to the match the next night.

"Where are you going to be sitting?"

"Well, not very close. I'll be up in the lower tiers. I couldn't afford the tickets by ringside."

"Why don't you come with me? Mark made sure I had a ringside seat. Maybe he can perhaps wing one more."

Liz almost dropped her drink. "That sounds nice, but I wouldn't want him to go to any extra trouble."

"Nonsense. Why don't we go over to the house. I'm sure I can persuade him."

Liz couldn't help but ask, "Why are you doing this? You really don't know me."

"I know we just met. I have to admit, when I first saw you, I saw a very pretty woman and wanted to talk to her."

Liz blushed. She hadn't been given a compliment in a while. "Thank you."

"Let's go."

After paying, they left to go to Mark's house. Mark had just arrived home and was just getting ready to relax when Jesse and Liz showed up. "I see you brought your friend with you. Liz, isn't it?"

"Yes. I'm surprised you remembered. You meet so many people."

"It's not often I see Jesse with someone, so I kind of have a tendency to remember names. How did you enjoy yourself?"

"I had a good time this afternoon, getting to meet some of the wrestlers and getting some things for my friend and I. Tomorrow I'll be at the match, although I'll be well back from the ring."

"Mark, I was wondering, could you perhaps wing another floor seat at ringside?" Jesse asked.

"I might be able to. I'll make sure that there are backstage passes for the both of you."

Liz was speechless. A ringside seat and a backstage pass!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CHAPTER 7
Jesse and Liz stayed a couple of hours. Liz couldn't help but notice how close Jesse and Mark were. She was introduced to Mark's wife. Liz was envious of her. She was beautiful. Liz knew she didn't have a chance, but she would always love Mark no matter what.
After Jesse and Liz left, Mark sat back thinking about his brother. He and Jesse were close. He knew Jesse had always been envious because women always noticed him first. Jesse would never say but he could tell. When he had brought Liz, he had given her a quick once over. She didn't look like the type that would use Jesse to get to him. Over the years he had gotten the knack of being able to tell as he had experienced a few. She had seemed genuinely surprised to be at ringside and be able to go backstage. "She is a pretty woman," he admitted to himself. Maybe Jesse had found someone at last. Other thoughts began to run through his mind. Mark shook his head. He didn't want to think like that.
"Would you like to stop somewhere for a nightcap?" Jesse asked while driving.
"That would be nice."
Jesse drove to a nice bar that he would frequent. Everyone hollered when he walked in. They sat at a table and each had a beer.
"Your brother is nice. He didn't have to do that," Liz said. "As you talked, I could tell you two are very close."
"We are. When we were kids we kind of watched out for each other. If one got in trouble, the other was always there to help. When he went into wrestling, I helped him out. I didn't think he would make it at first, but you see he did."
Liz tried to stifle a yawn, but Jesse could see she was getting a little tired. "I think its time I took you back to the hotel. You look a little tired."
"I'm sorry. I guess the excitement got to me," Liz said with a smile.
When they reached the hotel, Jesse walked Liz to her room. "Thank you for the evening. I had a good time." Jesse bent and kissed her lips. "I'll see you at 5:30," he said.
"I'll be ready." Liz replied and went in her room.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

CHAPTER 8

As Liz got ready for bed, she thought back to the events of the day. First had been the disappointment. Then meeting Mark's brother, Jesse. Then she actually got to meet Mark. He had acted exactly as she thought he would. It had been interesting to watch the two brothers interact. Yes, there was no denying their closeness. Mark had been kind to get her a seat at ringside and a pass backstage. When she met Mark's wife, she had to face reality. There was no chance for her ever. Mark would always though have a piece of her heart.

Jesse came to mind. He was very kind, just like Mark. It had been a while since someone had given her a compliment. She got in bed and went to sleep.

Jesse sat in his living room. He had purposely taken Liz to Mark's house to see what he would say. He had been the only one to see Mark look her over, and then ever so slightly give his approval. After the last couple of women he had who used him to get to Mark, he felt it would be better to get his approval first. When he had kissed her good night, her lips were warm and full. He got a weird feeling in the pit of his stomach and elsewhere. He knew she was from out of town and would probably leave the day after the match. Maybe he could persuade her to stay another day or two.

Liz spent the morning at the exhibits buying a few more things for her and Sherry. At about 2 o'clock she went back to the hotel to rest about an hour or so, then get ready for Jesse to pick her up. She decided to dress up a bit. She wondered who in reality she was dressing up for, Jesse or Mark. She shook her head and berated herself, "Don't even think about Mark. He is off limits. Remember, you are going out with Jesse."

Jesse called to tell her he was on his way and would be there shortly. Liz said she would be in the lobby. At 5:25 he entered the lobby. Liz had dressed in a black silk blouse and pants with low-heeled dress shoes and gold earrings and necklace. She had carefully applied her makeup, accentuating her eyes.

When Jesse saw her, he had to whistle, which made Liz smile. "You look beautiful. I'm going to have a hard time tonight from the men. They won't be able to keep their eyes off you."

As they walked across the street to the backstage entrance, Jesse couldn't help but feel on cloud nine. Mark met them at the entrance to give them their passes. It took all he could to keep from staring at her. He then had head of security escort them to their seats as he had some last minute preparations to do.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CHAPTER 9
Jim Dotson took them to their seats. They were just behind and to the right of the commentators. Liz had brought her camera along. "Wait till Sherry sees these pictures. She won't believe that I sat at ringside," Liz said.
Jesse asked if she would like something to drink. Liz thought a soda would be fine. He was gone about 10 minutes and came back with her drink and a snack.
Slowly the stadium filled up. Soon the place was alive with a lively crowd anxiously waiting for the matches to start. At about 6:45 the announcer came out to introduce the special guest for Wrestlemania. Liz finished out her film and quickly loaded another roll. It was soon time to start the matches.
Liz was having a good time watching the matches, taking pictures of the wrestlers during their matches. Jesse knew some of them and would talk about them. There were some spots during the matches when Liz would hold her breath and hold on to Jesse's arm, especially when the Hardyz would do their high flying moves. During the matches, Jesse put his arm around her. Liz looked at him and lowered her eyes.
Came the final match of the night. It was a four-way match pitting Kane, Rock, Benoit. and Undertaker in a winner-take-all title match. Liz found herself anxious for Mark's appearance. Mark was the last to enter. As this was his home town, he got a standing ovation when his music came on. The crowd was going crazy at his entrance. Liz was glad she had loaded a full roll of film just before the match.
The match started with Rock and Benoit in first. They had a score to settle and were really hammering each other. When they were in Mark's corner, he knocked the both of them down. Kane came in as did Mark. The ref decided just to let the men have at each other. Liz was busy snapping pictures. At one point, they were over near her and Jesse. Fortunately they stayed inside near the ring. This went on for 10 minutes. Finally it came down to Mark and Benoit as Rock and Kane fought each other to the back. Mark caught Benoit in a chokeslam. He raised him high off the ring and slammed him hard to the canvas. He covered him. One, two, three the ref counted, then the bell rang. Mark won the title. Liz jumped up and down almost forgetting to take pictures as she was caught up in the moment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

CHAPTER 10

Liz and Jesse make their way backstage to go to Mark's dressing room. Kane stopped them to say hello to Jesse. Jesse introduced Liz to Kane.

"I saw you yesterday. That's right. You got my autograph. It's nice to see you again. I didn't know you knew Jesse."

"We just met yesterday," Liz said.

They went on till they found his dressing room. They went in. Mark was in the shower and was almost through. He came out dressed in his jeans and black vest. They both congratulated him on the match.

"I was thinking of taking Liz to the bar not far from here. Care to come along?"

"Go on ahead. I'll join you later."

The two of them left. He had parked his car close to the entrance. It would be a while before they would be able to get out. Liz talked about the matches.

"I take it you enjoyed yourself," Jesse remarked with a smile.

"I did. I know I got a lot of good pictures. Thank you for the ringside seat."

"Thank, Mark. He's the one who made it possible."

"I know, but I'm thanking you anyway. Where is this bar at you're talking me to?"

"It's not far from here, just a few blocks. A lot of the wrestlers go there. There's live music so it gets to jumping some times as there is a big dance floor."

"Sounds great. I haven't been dancing in a while."

It took about 30 minutes before they could leave. Soon they were at the bar and had gotten a table. Sure enough, a lot of the wrestlers arrived with their dates or wives. The dance floor was nearly full. When a slow tune came up, Jesse asked her to dance. Liz hadn't danced much in the last few years so she was a bit rusty at first. Jesse had his arms around her, liking the feel of her as they danced. When the tune had finished they sat back down.

Mark came in. Jesse saw him and motioned him over. The waitress took their order and soon returned with their drinks. When another tune was played, Jesse asked Mark why not dance with Liz. As they danced, both of them felt something between them. It was taking everything Liz had to keep her emotions under control.

Liz was getting a bit hungry. Fortunately Jesse said there was a small place that served late at night. They left, Mark saying he was staying there then going home.

Before Jesse opened the car door, he kissed her. Lightly at first, then he pulled her closer, parting her lips with his tongue. His hands went down her back stopping to pull her hips closer to his. About that time Mark came out and saw them kissing. Not wanting to interrupt, he turned around and went back in.

When they parted, Jesse looked at her, that feeling in the pit of his stomach there. He opened the car door for her. After closing, he went around to the other side, taking a couple of quick breaths to calm himself down. They went to the restaurant and had a quick bite before he took her back to the hotel.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CHAPTER 11
Jesse escorted her back to her room, holding her tightly against him. When they reached the door, Liz turned her face up to him. He lightly kissed her cheek, then went on to her neck.
"Let me stay," he whispered in her ear.
Liz entered her room, Jesse right behind. As soon as the door was shut, he kissed her, teasing her with his tongue. Liz slowly ran her hands across his chest, then around to his back, running her hands up and down his back. Slowly they undressed each other, their clothes strewn on the floor.
Gently he pushed her back onto the bed, kneeling over her. His fingers traced a path over her body, ending at her thighs, massaging her, making her moan. He bent and began kissing her, stopping to taste the pink tips before going on toward his goal. Closer his lips came till she felt him insert his tongue where his fingers had been. Liz groaned, raising her hips as her fingers tangled in his hair. Jesse held her hips, making her whimper, driving her closer to climax. When he felt her body tense, he stopped, coming up till she felt him insert his tip inside. Slowly he entered, his eyes closed as he felt her tightness close around him.
Jesse took his time, wanting every movement to last. Both of them were making low noises as closer to release they came. Jesse couldn't wait, his juices flowed from him, burying his face in her neck as he throbbed in her. Liz felt herself flow with him, mixing with his. Jesse lay on top for several minutes, staying inside her. Ever so slowly, he moved to his side, still in her. He held her against his chest. Both were soon asleep.
Mark was on his way home. He saw the hotel and stopped for a few seconds. Without even looking, he knew Jesse was there with her. "What in the world am I doing thinking like this?" He went on home. When he got there, Sheila had already gone to bed. Undressing, he laid beside her, putting his arm around her. As he slowly drifted off to sleep, his mind was seeing how Jesse and Liz had kissed in the parking lot.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

CHAPTER 12

Jesse woke up first, looking at Liz curled next to him still asleep. Thoughts of last night began running through his mind. Making love to her had been beautiful. He kissed her forehead, her eyelids beginning to flutter, then open. Jesse smiled.

"Good morning."

"Good morning," Liz said. "What time is it?"

"It's about 8:30."

"I had better get packing. My plane leaves at 2:00."

"I was wondering if you could wait until tomorrow?" Jesse asked, hoping she would say yes.

"I'm sorry Jesse, I can't. I was lucky to get the time off and I need to be back at work tomorrow."

Liz got up and quickly showered. Jesse then went in. When he came out she had dressed and was packing. Liz had bought more than she had thought. Soon the suitcase was bulging to the point she had to almost sit on it to close.

"Looks like I kind of over did it," she said with a wry smile.

Jesse carried the suitcase, wondering if she hadn't packed bricks in it also. It was around 10:30 when they left. Liz still had three and a half hours before she was to fly out. Jesse suggested they stop and get some lunch and then go to the airport from there.

As they weren't in a hurry, they ate a leisurely lunch, talking about whatever they felt. "Would you mind, Liz, if I asked for your phone number and address? I want to see you. I travel a lot, and I'm always in your area."

"I wouldn't mind at all," she replied.

She gave him her address and phone number. They left, arriving at the airport with at least an hour and a half before she was to leave. When they called her flight, Jesse walked her to the boarding tunnel. He kissed her goodbye and said he would call when she got home.

As he drove from the airport, he again thought of their night together. He had so hoped she would have stayed an extra day. But as his job had him traveling a lot, he knew he would be making time to see her. "Liz, I hope you feel the same way," he thought.

Liz sat in her seat thinking of the time she had at Wrestlemania. It had turned out to be something more than just a trip. She did get to meet Mark, but in an unexpected way, by meeting his brother Jesse. Yes, she would always love Mark, knowing there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell he would ever be interested in her.

Jesse, what could she say. He had somehow made it possible for her to enjoy her time there. Then the night of love they had shared. He didn't seem the kind that would go back on his word. She was sure he would call as he said he would.

Mark had woke up that morning still a little groggy. He had gotten very little sleep, his mind on seeing his brother and Liz kissing by the car. He thought back to when he and Liz danced. She had felt good in his arms, the heat of her body burning him as they danced. He had stopped in front of her hotel, knowing without seeing that Jesse was with her. He was feeling a tinge of jealousy.

"I can't be thinking like this," he thought. "I haven't been married a year and I'm already thinking of someone else!"

He called the hotel and asked for Liz's room. Mark hung up when told she had checked out already, a look of disappointment on his face. He would be leaving out later that day to begin his road trip. Perhaps with the schedule of matches, house shows and personal appearances, he would be able to keep his mind off of her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CHAPTER 13
As soon as Liz was in the door, she went to the couch and collapsed. She thought she really should have asked for an extra day to get really rested and unpacked.
Her mind went back to Houston. She smiled as she remembered how Jesse had looked at her when she came down to the lobby. It had been a while since someone had paid her a compliment. When he had put his arm around her at the matches, she saw a look come in his eyes. It was the same look when they had danced. When he had kissed her by the car, she knew what was going to happen. She could have told him no when they got to her hotel room, but when he had pulled her hips to his, she felt him harden against her. "Man, is he ever gifted!" she thought. "He definitely knows what to do."
Even now she could feel Jesse's lips leaving a trail of heat on her, especially when he began kissing her slit. He knew what to do with that tongue too. She was getting wet thinking about it. She thought she was going to explode when he entered her. She moaned. "Damn!" she said out loud. She should have gone ahead and stayed the extra day. Just then the phone rang, waking her out of her thoughts. "Hello."
"Hi, Liz. Jesse. You made it okay."
"Hi, Jesse. Yeah, a little tired though. I guess I should have stayed that extra day."
As they talked, Jesse said he was coming up that way on business. He asked if he could come by. Liz said it was fine and that he could stay at her house. She would pick him up at the airport. He said he would call back as to when he would arrive.
After they hung up, Jesse was smiling. She wanted to see him. Even offering to have him stay with her. He got that warm feeling in the pit of his stomach. He closed his eyes, thinking of making love to her again. He had to take a couple of deep breaths to calm himself down. He finally was going to have a real relationship for a change.
Mark had left that evening for his road trip. Again he thought of his brother and Liz in the parking lot and how he had felt a sudden twinge of jealousy. He could tell Jesse was falling in love with her. But there was no denying his own feelings for her. But was he felt a physical attraction only, or was it something more?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

CHAPTER 14

About a week later, Jesse called saying he would be flying in Friday afternoon late. He had purposely done so as he wanted a whole weekend with her.

Liz spent the week cleaning, making sure she had enough in the house as she thought Jesse wouldn't mind having a home cooked meal. When Friday came, she went to the airport a half hour early and waited. She was getting nervous, why, she didn't know.

As Jesse was arriving, he too was getting nervous. He had been on pins and needles all week about going. He couldn't wait for the plane to land. As he came through the gate, he immediately started looking around. He heard his name being called, then saw a hand waving.

"You been waiting long?"

"Not very."

"Wait here. I'll get my bag and be right back."

In just a few minutes he returned and they were soon on their way home. "Excuse my house," she said as she was driving. "It's not the greatest, but it keeps the rain out." It wasn't long before they arrived.

"Make yourself comfortable. Your room is down and to the right. I'll be in the kitchen finishing up supper. If you would like to shower, the bathroom is at the end of the hallway."

"I thought perhaps we would go out."

"No, I thought I'd cook this time. I figure it has been a while since you've had a real home cooked meal."

He found his room and unpacked. He thought, "I'm going to have to change the sleeping arrangements though." While unpacking, he pulled out a small velvet covered box. He had found it when he had been looking for something to give her. He hoped Liz would like what was inside the box. He showered, changing into a t-shirt and sweat pants.

Jesse came in the living room, the aroma of something delicious coming from the kitchen. Liz came in. "Something smells good. What are we having?"

"Just something simple. Beef stew, tossed salad, homemade bread, and cobbler. Everything is ready. Shall we eat?"

Jesse held the chair for her. Liz had found a nice bottle of red wine to go with the meal. Jesse had to admit he had never eaten better. After they had eaten dessert, Liz cleared the table, putting the dishes in the dishwasher. Jesse went into the living room and found a stack of CD's. Finding one that had soft tunes, he put it in the player. Liz came back in carrying a tray of cups and a pot of coffee.

"Do you want to dance?" he asked.

"Okay." Putting the tray down, she and Jesse danced very slowly. As they were dancing, Liz saw the same look in his eyes that she had seen in Houston. When the tune had finished, she poured the coffee, saying she was going to change into something a little more comfortable.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CHAPTER 15
Jesse followed her, grabbing her wrist and pulling her to him before she reached her door. His eyes locked on hers, telling her, "I want you." Slowly he lowered his head, parting her lips with his tongue as he explored every inch of her mouth. His hands went down her back, ending up at her backside, gently fondling as he molded her soft cheeks to his hips. Liz could feel his hardening shaft through the material as he ground his hips into hers. Liz was finding it hard to breathe and had to tear her lips from his to get air. His hands began coming slowly back up and then around, unbuttoning her blouse, his fingers rubbing the tips of her breasts, feeling them become engorged with desire through the bra. Liz moaned, her body shaking from the sensations he was creating.
Jesse took her hand and placed it on his shaft, rubbing her hand back and forth over the material. "Please, Liz," he whispered in her ear. Liz felt herself throb between her legs, making her ache with the need to be satisfied. Picking her up, he carried her the short distance to her bed. As soon as he laid her down, he was on top, crushing her lips and grinding his hips between her thighs. The feel of his shaft against her slit made her throb even more.
Jesse got up and undressed, never taking his eyes off of her. He knelt on the bed and took her clothes off. He was wanting to plunge in her, but first he wanted to taste her again. He rained kisses all over her body, starting at her neck and working his way down, stopping to lick and suck the already aching tips, making Liz arch her back. As he kissed her navel, she clutched the covers, wanting him to go lower. Parting her outer lips, he bent his head, loving her with his tongue, doing to her what he would shortly do with his throbbing desire. Liz felt herself ready to burst as he continued loving her slit, sucking on her love bud. When he backed away, she grabbed his hair, pushing his head back down, "Don't stop! Lick me again!" she cried. Jesse lifted her hips, burying his face in her, making her climax over and over again.
Liz was shaking as he came up her body, entering her in one swift motion, his own ache almost too much. Gliding in and out, each time was harder and faster than the last. Liz was with him, matching each thrust. Jesse could feel himself ready to release. With one last plunge he felt his juices flow from him, crying out as he continued to pour in her, collapsing on top of her.
When he had stopped, he rolled to his side, putting his arms around her, pulling her to his chest. With her face turned away from his, a tear came from the corner of her eye as she had been seeing Mark's face the entire time.
CHAPTER 16
Liz woke up the next morning. Jesse had already gotten up sometime earlier. She went to the bathroom to take a shower. As she stood under the water, she hit her fist against the wall, berating herself for allowing her desire to be loved make her weak. It wasn't that Jesse wasn't good in bed. He was damn good. It was just that she was betraying him as her thoughts were of Mark the whole time he had made love to her. She was thankful that she had not screamed Mark's name. She had to ask herself how could she in all honesty have a relationship with Jesse, knowing the whole time her thoughts would be about Mark. Again she had to face reality. Mark was out of bounds; the wedding ring on his finger saying so. She was not someone that wanted the reputation of being a homewrecker. As she stepped out of the shower, she came to the conclusion that she would do whatever it took to make this work, even at the expense of her own feelings. Wrapping a towel around her, she went to her room to dress. When she walked in, Jesse was there with a tray.
"Good morning, beautiful. Come on and sit on the bed while I serve you breakfast."
Liz sat back on the bed, propping herself up with pillows. When he set the tray on her lap, she saw a black velvet box on the tray. "What is this?"
"Open it," he said, sitting beside her.
Liz opened the box. In it was a fine link gold chain, a small oval shaped diamond hanging from it. Liz sat there with her mouth open. For a couple of minutes she couldn't speak. "Jesse, it's beautiful! But why!?"
Taking the necklace, he put it on her, kissing her cheek. "I saw it one day and thought you would like it."
"But Jesse, it's too soon for something like this." Liz sat there, tears forming in her eyes.
"Why the tears?"
Liz shook her head. How could she let him know that her thoughts were of Mark and not him. She ate very little. When she had finished, Jesse took the tray to the kitchen. She fingered the necklace. This was not going to be easy. Her emotions were in a turmoil more than ever. Women would give their right arm for someone like Jesse. He's handsome, makes good money, judging from the diamond on her necklace, is a very passionate man, and would do anything for a her. She could tell he was falling in love with her. She hung her head.
While Jesse was cleaning up, he thought to her reaction at receiving the necklace. He knew very well it was too soon for something that expensive. But he had fallen in love with Liz the minute he had seen her standing in line. To him, Liz was beautiful, passionate, caring, and intelligent, everything he had looked for.
After getting dressed, Liz went to the kitchen to help. When she walked in, Jesse was finishing up. She suggested that perhaps they could spend the day walking and take in a baseball game that afternoon.
They drove to one of the malls and walked around window shopping. They happened to stop at a jewelry store and looked at the window display. Liz showed him a gold ring mounted with a circle of small diamonds with a small ruby in the middle. She said one day she was going to buy it to have as a birthstone ring. Jesse made a mental note that the first chance he got, he would get it for her. After Liz had made a couple of purchases, they went to the ball park. They got seats behind center field. They had a good time at the game, Jesse managing to catch one of the home run balls.
Afterwards they stopped on the way home for a drink. Jesse told her about some of the things Mark and him did as kids and how much trouble they would get into. Liz laughed. She told him she could imagine them getting into trouble. When they arrived at home, she heated up the leftovers. On the way they had stopped and rented a couple of videos.
After cleaning up, she made popcorn. Turning the lights out, they settled onto the sofa to watch. When the first video began to play, Liz's mouth dropped. Jesse had rented an x-rated movie. She looked at him. "You don't really rent these do you?"
"Every once in a while for a laugh. Why, is it giving you ideas?" he asked with a devilish grin.
"Certainly not," she answered. "I don't need this to give me ideas."
Jesse put the other tape in and sat back down, putting his arm around her. Without a second thought, Liz cuddled next to him as they watched a horror movie. After rewinding the tape, Jesse came and sat back down.
"Liz, I have something I want to tell you. I'm in love with you, from the first time I saw you in Houston. I want us to be together. So I'm asking, would you move to Houston and live with me?"
Liz became wide-eyed, her mouth open. She got up and began pacing back and forth. Then she stood in front of him. "This is going way too fast. First the necklace, now you say you love me and want me to move to Houston to live with you. Jesse, this is way too soon. If we are going to have a real relationship, it's going to take time."
"But Liz, after last night. The way we were in bed together..."
"We may be good in bed, but no relationship should be based on sex alone. I thought you had better sense than that. I think you need some time alone to really think this out."
Liz went to her room and shut the door. Jesse went to knock on her door, but went instead to his room. He sat on the bed awhile, then laid down. He knew he was definitely in love with her, that much he knew was true. She was right, though, he was pushing things too fast. He could have kicked himself for saying that statement about them in bed. He did know better, but she was everything he wanted. He didn't want to run the risk of someone taking her from him. He turned on his side, holding the pillow to him. "Whatever I have to do, Liz, I will have you with me."
Liz laid in the bed thinking about what she had told him. "Jesse, you are a good man, just don't push me. Just give me time." She closed her eyes, wondering if Mark would act that way with her. She knew she was never going to find out.
Mark laid on a bed in a hotel. His mind wondered to Liz as he tried to sleep. Everything he had tried could not rid his mind of her face. Why was he constantly thinking of her? He closed his eyes, but sleep was long in coming.
CHAPTER 17
The next morning Jesse came in the kitchen. Liz was already there drinking a cup of coffee. She got up and poured him a cup. He sat down.
"Liz, I'm sorry about what I said last night. I do know better. I know it will take time, but I do want you to live with me. And I did mean what I said, I love you. I guess I couldn't believe I had gotten someone to be even the slightest bit interested in me. Mark was always noticed first. A couple of women I had gone out with purposely used me to get to Mark. I was beginning to feel like I wasn't good enough. I felt there must be something wrong with me."
"Jesse, there is nothing wrong with you. You are a very handsome and kind man. Just stop trying so hard. If you want us to have a real relationship, don't push. We need to be sure of each other." Taking his hand. "Now, don't you have a presentation to work on? Let's see if I can help you."
As Jesse went to get his briefcase, Liz closed her eyes. Jesse was indeed a kind man. She could see his side of it as Mark was famous and good looking too. She had feelings for Jesse, but they weren't the same as the feelings she had for Mark. Well, she would just have to forget those feelings as he was out of reach. She knew she and Jesse could make a go of it, he just had to give it time.
Liz cleaned up the dishes, then went into the living room. He had his work set out on the coffee table. A lot of it had to be done on the computer, which would take the rest of the day.
Taking off work early, she took Jesse to the airport, waiting with him till they called his flight. He kissed her intensely, lightly running his fingers on her cheek.
He had been back only one day and missed her already; the warmth of her body next to his, wanting to make love to her. Days passed. Nights would find him aching so bad he thought he would go crazy. "Please Liz, please come to Houston!"
About three days after Jesse had left, Liz was called into the office. Her boss started talking about how long she had worked there and the kind of work she had done over the years. Liz thought this was it, she was going to be let go.
"An opening in one of our branch offices has come up, and I recommended you for the position of branch manager."
Liz was stunned. After all these years, finally a promotion. "Which city is it in?"
"It's our Houston branch. It's big enough, but not too overly large. I know you will do a good job."
"Jesse," she thought, "You wanted me to come to Houston. Well, you have your wish."
"When do I need to be there?"
"In two weeks."
"That doesn't give me much time to pack, find an apartment there, and do something with the house."
"Don't worry about the apartment. The company already has a place for you to live. The company is also paying for moving you there. The movers will pack whatever you are taking with you and the rest will be put in storage. You will fly there, the company also paying for it."
The next two weeks were a whirlwind as she decided to rent the house. She placed the ad. She figured out what she was going to take with her, which would be everything, so there was nothing to put in storage. It didn't take long to rent the house. A young couple said they would take it. The day before she was to leave, the movers came and packed up, loaded it on the truck. Liz gave them the address of the apartment. They would arrive the next day, in the afternoon. Liz spent the night at the airport, then flew out the next day. She arrived at her new apartment just shortly before the movers were due.
The first thing she had them do was unpack the bed and set it up. She was tired and knew that it would be a welcome sight. What she hadn't thought about were all the boxes they were unloading and then have to unpack by herself. She knew her nights were going to be very busy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

CHAPTER 18

Jesse decided to wait to call. He wanted her to feel that whatever decisions she made would be made with no pressure from him. But the waiting is hell he thought to himself. There were nights when his whole body ached because of his need of her. Even cold showers were no longer helping. He tried working more hours to keep his mind occupied. Again, he would feel that ache of emptiness.

After two weeks, it was more than he could stand. He dialed her number. When he got a "no longer in service" recording, he dialed again, thinking he had misdialed. Again the recording. He slowly hung up.

The day after Liz had moved in she began her new job. For the next three weeks she spent her days learning her job, the staff, and her way somewhat around Houston. Her nights were spent unpacking.

In about a week she had everything put away. During that time, she thought of Jesse. She knew she should have called when she arrived, but getting settled in her new surroundings came first. When she got home from work one evening, she found his number and dialed. When she got his answering machine, she said she was in town and gave him the address.

Jesse had stopped on his way home at his hangout to get a quick drink before heading to his house. He wasn't up to being his usual self, preferring to sit in a corner booth before facing another night alone. When he got to his house he saw the light flashing on the phone. Rewinding the tape he played it. Most of the calls were from the office. He was just about to quit running the tape when he heard a familiar voice. He closed his eyes and smiled. He was back out the door.

Liz had just gotten through taking a shower when there was a knock. Putting on her robe she answered. Before she could say a word, she was swept up into a pair of eager arms.

"God, Liz, I missed you." When he put her down, they sat on the couch.

"When did you get into town?"

"Three weeks ago."

"Why didn't you call me? When I called the other number it was no longer in service. I was going out of my mind."

"I got transferred to our branch office. I wanted to get settled first and get to know the people there. Plus I had a ton of unpacking to do. I finally got it finished. Right now I just want to relax. I haven't had eaten all day. I'm famished."

"I know of a place that delivers Chinese."

"Sounds great."

Thirty minutes later they were eating. When they had finished, she cleared away the food. Jesse was still hungry but not for more food, but he wasn't going to do anything unless she was ready. When she sat back down, she snuggled up next to him. Jesse put his around her. They watched TV for a while.

Jesse felt her hand rub his chest. He turned to her, her lips slightly parted. Putting her hand behind his head, she brought his lips to hers. When they touched she pushed his lips apart with her tongue, teasing the inside of his mouth. Jesse pulled her closer, groaning, feeling himself grow. Her hand began unbuttoning his shirt sliding inside, running her fingers across his nipples, feeling them become hard. Sliding her fingers down to the belt, she unfastened the buckle, pulling down the zipper, her fingers inside rubbing his shaft back and forth. Jesse closed his eyes, his body shaking.

Liz took his hand and let him to her room. Taking her robe off, she crawled to the head of the bed. Jesse tore his clothes off, crawling on the bed to her. Bending his head, he took a pink nipple in his mouth, running his tongue around it and across it, then gently pulling and sucking till it had swollen before doing the same to the other.

Liz arched her chest, wanting more. His fingers ran down her stomach, going through the dark curls before entering her soft wetness, massaging her, working on the sensitive tip in her, making her moan and squirm. Jesse felt her stiffen. Bending further, he drank her essence like a tonic, not stopping till he had tasted her again and again. Liz cried as her body spasmed over and over.

Sliding up, he inserted his tip, groaning as he slid in all the way. Holding her hips, he began thrusting in her, harder and deeper, till he felt like his whole body wanted to burst. He could feel himself stiffen, crying "I'm cuming" as he went in one last time.

As she felt her inside fill, she came with him. He collapsed on her, his face buried in her neck. When they could breathe normal, he moved slightly to the side, his head resting on her shoulder.
