Hallo! I am originally from the industrial city of Durgapur, West Bengal, India. I did my schoolings in Durgapur. Thereafter, I did my predoctoral research in the laboratory of  Dr. Manoj K. Chakrabarti in the division of Pathophysiology, National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (which is a permanent institute of Indian Council of Medical Research). In February, 1999 I came to United States of America and joined the laboratory of Dr. Raju Ramasamy in the department  of Microbiology as a Post Doctoral Research Associate. My study is concerned with molecular biology of alphavirus replication and diseases.
