Hello this is Janet again I also like dabbling in crafts. I would like to share just a few simple ideas that are easy to do. And can be done with your children. After all I have found that kids just naturally enjoy creating things. This I have found is a wonderful way to get children to explore their creativity. I would also love to hear any ideas you have to add so please feel free to e-mail them to me at damnitjanet3@hotmail.com.

Potpourri Jars You take any size fluted top glass jars, Fill them with your favorite potpourri I like to use mesh netting of any color. Fold into two lairs and cut large enough to overlap the jar lid about two to three inches. Then take A piece of ribbon of a complementing color and tie around the jar lid to seal mesh around the top of jar. At this time I like to take a hot glue gun and tack in various places the ribbon just to help keep in place. Your jar can have any number of Items added to it for decoration. I like to add things that complement the room I intend to use the jar in.

Refrigerator Magnets These magnets can be made with wicker wreaths or hearts, a large number of things. Hot glue, ribbon, silk flowers, butterflies, ladybugs, ect. Wrap ribbon through and around wicker hearts in a spiral fashion. Hot glue into place. Now hot glue a butterfly, ect.. at any angle towards the top of the heart. Then hot glue a magnet to the back of the heart. Another cute variation of this is to hot glue another smaller heart to both sides of the larger heart. Wrap the ribbon around the little hearts to cover the hot glue. Then glue butterflies on the little hearts. You might want to add a magnet or two , then there you have a cute little refrigerator magnet.

Christmas Tree Decorations You need a roll of lifesavers any flavor you like, a large package of fruit strip gum, the small rolls of sweet tart type candies, and rubber bands. Take 2 lifesavers out, 1 piece of gum, 1 roll of candy, 1 rubber band. Slide the rubber band through the lifesavers, place the roll of candy between the lifesavers. Place the piece of gum on top of the roll of candy cross wise, then slide the rubber band over the ends of the gum. You now have a candy airplane. You can tie a string on the plane and hang it on the Christmas Tree or use this as a package decoration. Another cute idea is using red, white, and green pipe cleaners. You choose two colors and twist them together from end to end lightly. Fold them in half and twist them together some more. Then shape them into candy canes. Hot glue a safety pin or you can buy packages of lapel pins on the candy cane. Where them, or leave off the pin and use as a package decoration, or use them on your Christmas tree for decorations.

As I said these are simple little craft ideas you can enjoy doing with small children. I will be adding more to this at a later date. If you have any ideas you would like to share please go to e-mail me on my front page and mail me your ideas. Let me know if it is ok with you to add them to this page. Again I hope your enjoying your visit into my world, and please sign my guest book at the bottom of my front page. Well see you around the park. Bye now.

Now here is one that was sent to me by a friend. Hope you enjoy this one.

Hello Boo Boo Here is the craft i told you about. You'll need the following materials:
1 small fish bowl with rims *You can buy it at walmart for $1.00
Acrylic Paint
A print out of a favorite design or picture * I usually use angels from Print Master or Print Artist*
Elmer's White Glue
1. You take the print out and cut it so that it looks like a picture no rims just the picture
2. You put glue infront of the picture, since Elmer's Glue clears it will give it a glossy and antique look.
3. Then you take the print out and place it inside the fish bowl, glue it on slowly so that it won't break.
4. You let it dry at least for 4 hrs.
5. Then you take the acrylic paint in which ever color you like and start painting it in the inside so that it covers the whols bowl and the print out.
6. Let dry between coats. Give it as many coats of paint as necessary.
7. After it dry and the color you want you take some glossy spray and apply it inside the bowl let it dry.
And there you have it you have and istant designer bowl, good enough to put on a waiting table or on a desk. you can do the same for vases that are plain, the vases that don't have any line or designs on then its fun, simple and not expensive and they make great gifts.

paper bags in all sizes
Paper hole savers (like the ones used on loose leaf paper, can be color with acrylic paint)
Elmer's glue
ribbon and colored yarn
foam pieces to cut out shapes in various colors
hole puncher
Steps
You take the colored foam and you cut out a shape Christmas shape.
Then you take the paper bag and stick the shape to it let dry.
Then you take the hole puncher and punch wholes on the top of the bag.
Then you insert the ribbon.
And there you have a gift bag for the holidays.
Simple, inexpensive and fun to make with the kids before Christmas time.
