Hello Everyone from my world, the Navy
world,
In light of recent world events, as you
may have expected and is probably true for most American military
forces, we are, of course, ramping up our training timeline and
headed for a possible early deployment. I think this is true
across the board and is definitely no secret, but actually to be
expected transitioning from peace to war time.
Yes, dear family and friends, if you didn't comprehend or believe
it before, let it sink in---
WE ARE AT WAR. And at war with some of the most malicious and
evil beings on the planet--I hesitate to grace them with the
label "men" or even "humans." What true man
or human could perform or cause the heinous acts of terrorism
that brought us to this point?
Training is going very well, if intense and hectic. We are doing
well and impressing all the Chain of command with MAHAN's
outstanding performance.
I will try to let you know when I am out at sea and you can send
me text email to the ship email address I will send you. Thanks
for thinking of all us servicemembers, Navy, Marine, Air Force,
and of course Army!
