~HORSES OF PAST~
There are many, 50+ years with horses. Some good horses and some not quite what I wanted. I will try to remember all and tell you alittle about them.
Starting with my very first pony.~SANDY~
She was a Quarter pony, palameno color. about 13+hands.
I got her when I was 10 years old. Being green myself, I though she was a idiot but, infact it was probally me. LOL. She took advantage of my not knowing anything , Running away with me, Rearing up everytime I got on her. She was fine as long as I did not ride her, but now I realize it was probally all my fault, not knowing what I was doing.:) I would learn later on though!
Next is ~ MANDY~ I got her the year 1975 when she was only 5 years old, I much older,"L". She was a Morgan, Quater Horse, 14 hands, a bay with a star. She died the year 2000, at the age of 30. She was a wonderful horse, not a mean bone in her body. Anyone could ride her and she would take care of them. She was great for trail riding as she was so sure footed. She loved hearding cattle. Also loved kids.
~BRANDED~ He was my very first pony I got for my kids. He was a very small pinto pony 10 hands and very young. Unbroke but I had a blast breaking him. He was so small it was funny to get bucked on him. He never did like to be ridden but loved pulling the cart. He died of a very old age.
~SOCKEY~ A regesterd 1/2 Arab, 1/2 Quarter Horse. He was also 5 when I got him. He was Chestnut with baze and 4 white stockings. You had to know how to ride to use this horse. He was fast and head strong.
~DUSTY~ A fast little pony, Mainly used in gaming. Only about 12.2 hands. Dusty Brown in color.
~NICK~ He was a regesterd Quarter Horse. Bay in color with white blaze. 15 hands and 15 years old when I got him. He died of a heart attack years later. A great trail and pleasure horse. Very stocky built and very gental. He was a great horse!
~Apples~ She was 9 years of age when I got her. She was a P.O.A. pony, 13 hands appoloosa. Mostly white. When I got her she had U-V-ITIS (moon Blindness) , But a super pony. Great with kids, and a good temperment. Died at the age of 15 from her illness.
~SUZY~ Here is the cuties little Shetland Pony you ever could find. What a sweetie. Standing only 10 hands and pinto color. She was so tolorable to anything and we could have so much fun with her. She loved trail rides and being in parades all decked out. She died the year 2000 well in her 30's maybe even 40. Everyone had fun with her and loved her.
~Spike~ A very large Clydsdale. 19 hands weighing 1900 lbs. He sure was the gental giant! I would drive him with a buggy, Pull things with him, Ride him and just have fun with him. He carried 5 kids all the same time on his large back.:) He came to retire at my farm and died at the age of 36.
~SPERIT~ A young small pony, about 10 hands. No a very pleasent guy. Too fast and too strong for kids to ride , Only had him a few years before he was sold.
~Dumpling~ A mini horse. About 39*. Groula color.(mousey color) a stud colt. He was one year when I got him. Little kids could ride him But, mainly we would cart him. To take him placed He fit in back of the hatch back car I had. People would laugh when I would let him out. I sold him years later as a cart pony. He was fun to work with.
~POCO~ A regesterd Quarter Horse. He was 5 when I got him. Died at age of 10 with a heart atack. So sad, so young.! He was Chesnut with Blaze and stockings on three legs. Handsome fella.! He liked pleasure riding and trail rides. Got mad with speed.:)
~VELVET~ A black Morgan. Got her at the age of 5.
She was a beauty. She had a mind of her own and took advantage of people. A real independant Mare. Sold Her at the age of 10.
~JO-JO~ He was a regesterd Quarter Horse. Chesnut is color no markings. 15 hands and very blocky. Only one prob. He had Hypp. A hedertary desiese, He would go down with you while on his back and the desiese got the best of him and he become agressive.
~Image~He was a beautiful Bay Quarter Horse, Large built, Bay with star. A real looker, but susspected HYPP also. He did not like to be ridden at all.
~CHYANNA~ I got her at the age of one year. She was a paint.14 hands. Very, pretty. I started working with her with kids and she did great till she reached the age of 4 . She learned how to buck hard and furious. Bucked everyone off that tryed to mount her. And when she bucked it did not stop. Sold her at the age of 5.
I think this is it as far as past! Of Course there is present and future:)

~FOR THE ANGELS~
I'll be sending you a special horse today. It won't be easy, but it's time. She hurts, you see, and there doesn't seem to be anything more we can do to help her. I hurt just thinking about it, which is why I'm writing you.
There's a thing or two you should know about my horse, so you can help her adjust to her new afterlife. I'd like to recaim her when I get there.
Anyway, here are the particulers.
She loves dogs. Allows ours to congregate in her stall at feeding time, and she graciously dribbles feed in their direction so they can share the meal. They'll miss her.
She's not afraid of cows. I think she sort of likes the critters. Fell free to turn her out next to those proverbial greener pastures.
She's brave, and she's broke. I'd ride this horse to the gates of Hell.(sorry, just an expression.)
She loves to jump or at least she did when she was young and spry. I relize you guys probably fly around, but feel free to pop over some clouds on her. It'll make you happy.
She lives to be brushed. Take a rubber curry to her and she'll truly know she is in heaven.
She can get silly when she is in heat. Real silly. I'm hoping that won't happen where she is going, but if it does, you might wanna keep her away from the boys, if you catch my drift.:)
She's the ultimate princess. She loves horse cloths, cosmetic product, and hairstyling. Shampoo and condition her, spray her coat, pull her mane, brush her tail, then dress her in a sheet and you'll see what I mean. ( she loves to be clipped, too.) Please pamper her.
She plays well with other horses, mares, geldings alike. Big, small-it does not matter.*br* She love to be ridden, and she loves to show. She'd saddle herself if she could-and she'll load hersef in a trailer if the door is left open. I guess you'd call her a work-horse( she didn't retire well, by the way. it took her a year or so to get use to not working. So if you have a job for her up there, I know she'd appreciate it.)
She was a wonderful mom and only had one foal.
She loves her stall. She enjoys a grass pasture, too. She's a city girl who's always happy to come back to her "condo" especially in inclement weather, she hates the cold. Please see that she stays warm and dry.
She's a wise, wise mare. You'll know what I mean when you look into her eyes. Her wisdom and sanity, make her a pleasure to be around. She has no vices-don't bite, kick, buck, crib, weave or behave badly in any way. She's a dream to handle.
Well that's it. I need to go met the vet, so we cand send her on her way. I know she'll be better off with ou, but that does not make it any easier. Please keep her legged up for me, will you? I can't wait to ride her again. You're darn lucky to have her, but remember- it's just a lease.
