Bell Witch Opry is Old-Timey Hit
By Thomas Goldsmith (Focus - The Tennessean - Wednesday, June 8,1983)

ADAMS - The good old-fashioned entertainment available every Saturday night at the Bell Witch Opry is the result of a love of traditional country music shared by audience, performers, broadcasters and organizers alike.

Adams resident the late Ken Seeley started the show in 1981 and arranged to have it broadcast live over WDBL in Springfield (TN) beginning in January of this year. Performances by the many acts that appear weekly at the opry are characterized by high spirits onstage and enthusiastic response from the audience...

The love of music and performing shown ... is reflected by many of the other more regular musicians on the show. The backbone of the show is the Bell Witch Old Timers band, which is led by Seeley himself.

Other band members are upright bassist Jimmy Wilson, Seeley's wife, Nina, on rhythm guitar and the accomplished mandolin player Ernest Ferguson, who was known as Abner Abernacky during his years as a performer on the Louisiana Hayride...
